The only truly remarkable thing about THIS prediction is that the nutjobs only looked forward 5 years.
Can't really cash in on grants and insanity insurance that much in only 5 years!
Maybe they really meant 2120, but misplaced their liberal calculator...
Oh, I'm sure it will work but only if the ice shelf melts and fills the valley. If it doesn't, we can all go down to the Wharf and get some nice fried abalone and watch the gulls.
They said the same thing in the 80s when that shelf twice the size of texas allegedly broke off as a giant iceberg. Sigh
Im not aware of a single event that global warming scientists can point to which is claimed to definitively prove the existence of man made global warming.
Is there one?
Is there anything that even some scientists agree on as proof?
Out with the old to make room for the new....
Only high taxes will solve the non existent problem.
Models Unreliable on Antarctic Ice Expansion Projections
by Anthony Ward on September 26, 2013
in Blog
New studies are raising doubts about the reliability of climate model forecasts. As far back as the 1970s, most climate models have anticipated a decline in Antarctic sea ice. However, instead of declining, Antarctic sea ice in 2013 has approached record levels not seen since the 1970s. Scientists are scrambling to find explanations for this anomaly, but one thing is clear model projections are facing a crisis of credibility. If actual conditions diverge from the predicted, then how can we trust the predictions? It seems we are as likely to arrive to the truth about the Earths future climate using models as we are from reading tea leaves or performing an augury to pagan gods.
(My comment) Has this guy been fired yet for daring to question the Climate Change orthodoxy?
And in the 70s, the glaciers would be encroaching on the U.S. northern border in 30-50-100-500 years for a new ice age?
