As best I can tell, there is no country with the ability to adequately strike with an EMP force. Russia is barely able to get anything to work. China has a good option but it is largely untested and they have no interest in blowing up all their Walmart stores. North Korea is just making noise.

Sounds like a 1970s type threat. Maybe North Korea?

Recent declassification of EMP studies by the U.S. government has begun to draw attention to this dire threat. Rogue nations such as North Korea (and possibly Iran) will soon match Russia and China and have the primary ingredients for an EMP attack: simple ballistic missiles such as Scuds that could be launched from a freighter near our shores; space-launch vehicles able to loft low-earth-orbit satellites; and simple low-yield nuclear weapons that can generate gamma rays and fireballs.

That's probably true. However, I believe their is Biblical evidence for a coming pole shift.

Isiah 24: 19-23

Despite what many scientists say (that pole shifts will be gradual), I believe they can happen suddenly. Moreover, it is a document fact that the magnetic pole is literally racing during the last few years. I believe the poles will shift, perhaps sooner rather than later.
