VS the democrat/moderate version of compromise where the democrats tell the republicans what to do and they do it.
That’s the thing about Obama. He’s all about compromise. /sarc
The GOP doesn’t compromise. They give in because they are spineless and weak. Cruz has principles and stands upon him. That, to me, is more admirable than being turncoat douchecanoes.
By the way WaPo, did you guys promote compromise when the democrats shoved Obamacare down the throats of everyone?
Has Obama united the country, as promised?
The Editorial Board unsurprisingly doesnt seem to understand that the states gave the feds the flexibility to compromise on only the very limited number of issues which the states enumerated in Congresss constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
In a country that needs to take its political disagreements down a notch, Mr. Cruzs argument is that conservatives need to crank their volume up.....Crank it up so high that all squealling, moaning and editorials are drowned out.
The Washington Post wishes pesky conservatives would simply disappear.
That’s why they hate Ted Cruz.
With the MSM, its so predictable.
Compromise = ‘Selling Out’
The GOPe’s path the last few CONGRE$$E$.
Well how did that work out, WaPo?
Regarding gay marriage, Cruz should just say, “My position on gay marriage is the same as the position that Barack Obama professed when he first ran for president. But unlike President Obama, I’m not lying.”
They’d never endorse him.
As Hillary is fond of saying:
“What difference does it make?”
None when it comes to their editorial position.
I guess Cruz was reacting to this editorial, but I saw him give an interview today where he talked about how well he works with others in the Senate, and how many issues that he has worked with Dems on, mostly dealing with the middle east. I hope he is not trying to have it both ways. Modern gotcha journalism will scour tapes and interviews to find inconsistencies.
I can’t believe Jeff Bozos paid $250 million for this left wing rag.
They give in because they are spineless and weak.
...
They give in because they like the Big Government and Corruption agenda of the Democrats, or better yet, the Uniparty.
I’m for traditional marriage but I can understand why the Washpost considers it “divisive.”
We need a lot more divisiveness in this country and we would be well served by not compromising on our fundamental values.
Ted Cruz sure is generating a lot of press for someone who doesn’t have a chance of winning.
If the Left thought he had no chance, they wouldn’t be filling the media with screeds warning us about him.
In reality, they know he’s a formidable candidate.
$2.50 would have been too much.
