Why don’t you read the posts that we make to you?

Every time this comes up, you plead that you innocently don’t know the actual facts on his abortion and gay marriage positions and continue to sell Paul as anti-abortion and anti gay-marriage.

Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed today?

No, but you get angry like this every time that I point out the truth about Paul, and then go back to describing him as pro-life and anti-Gay marriage, it gets tiresome.

“”At this point in time, he’s right on abortion, which he opposes. Also, he’s right on homosexual marriage which he opposes.””

I don’t think you ever responded to wagglebee’s correction about Paul and abortion to you did you?

I don’t always respond to every post that is sent my way. Sometimes that’s number of posts and limited time; sometimes it’s other responsibilities. Wagglebee and I are long time FRiends, so he knows what I think.

I’m not a libertarian, so reading that Paul claims to be pro-life and pro-natural marriage is a good thing. When he makes clear public statements to the contrary, I imagine they’ll get posted at ‘ontheissues’. If Wagglebee says Paul has been talking out of both sides of his mouth, then I believe him.

FWIW, I’m not angry. I’m eating pizza for dinner, and at the same time was trying to word a phone message to our church about a death, a hospitalization, and a work opportunity. So, maybe distracted, but not angry at all.

Here is an example of us trying to cover Paul in June of 2014, and you seemed to be up to speed.

To: andyk
BLITZER: So, just to be precise, if you believe life begins at conception, which I suspect you do believe that, you would have no exceptions for rape, incest, the life of the mother, is that right?

PAUL: Well, I think that once again puts things in too small of a box. What I would say is that there are thousands of exceptions. You know, I’m a physician and every individual case is going to be different, and everything is going to be particular to that individual case and what’s going on with that mother and the medical circumstances of that mother.

I even gave you the link in case you wanted the transcript.

To: xzins
If you ever need it, here is the link to that transcript.

Here is an example from October of 2014.

To: xzins
*””He is against abortion with the sole exception of life of the mother.””*

According to Paul, you are putting him “in too small of a box” on abortion.

From the CNN transcript.

BLITZER: Well, it sounds like you believe in some exceptions.

PAUL: Well, there’s going to be, like I say, thousands of extraneous situations where the life of the mother is involved and other things that are involved.

So, I would say that each individual case would have to be addressed and even if there were eventually a change in the law, let’s say, the people came more to my way of thinking, it’s still be a lot of complicated things that the law may not ultimately be able to address in the early stages of pregnancy that would have to be part of what occurs between the physician and the woman and the family.

He also opposed DOMA, and wants us to “evolve” on social issues.

If you read post 17, it seems that like me, he wants you to remember that Paul is not "right on abortion", a message that we have been posting to you for at least 9 months.

I appreciate your concern for my understanding things correctly. Now all you’ll have to worry about is my memory.

You need to start another ‘ontheissues’ type site, so I can go there to refresh my memory rather than to the one I now tend to use.

Just remember this sentence, “Rand Paul is wrong on abortion and gay marriage, and social issues”.

Paul will probably fade away now that Cruz has adopted the same position on marijuana.

He’s also wrong on drugs, because he wants them sold openly on the street.

He said that? I thought Rand Paul and Ted Cruz were in agreement on marijuana.

Xzins is one of the best FReepers I know as well as a close and valued FRiend, I trust his judgment on almost everything. I'm sorry that I didn't respond to this yesterday, my wife tricked me into going to a mall.

I recall years ago when Rand was first running for the Senate and xzins indicated that he was impressed with Rand. I told him that I was certain that Rand would be just like his father and I was right.

It's difficult to nail down CINOs and libertarians on issues, they tend to say whatever they think their audience wants to hear.

All of this moot anyway because Rand will NEVER be a nominee for president unless it's for some fringe party. Rand has the same wacko core that his father does; they mistakenly believe that they are a large group because they're noisy, but they're nothing more than a nuisance.

The reason that Paulbots are so few in number is due to the fact that their target group is limited to impressionable college students. Very few Paulbots stay that way, some get burned out and lose interest altogether, but most outgrow it and either embrace conservatism or liberalism. The Pauls will NEVER get over 5% on a national level because they have to continually recruit new devotees and they are competing head-to-head with the leftists on college campuses.

You seem to be correct. He wasn't actually named for Ayn Rand (though he and his father have certainly done nothing to end these rumors), but he still reveres a woman whose platform was selfishness over altruism and the hatred of Christianity.
