"Thats great if they put them on a missile. What if they put them in shipping containers or commercial aircraft?"
You reading Obama's Christmas wish list again?

Nope. Just thinking like a terrorist on a budget.
Want to sneak a nuke into the US? Wrap it in a ton of cocaine and bring it through the Port of Miami. Or dont even bring it all the way in. Hide it in a shipping container and just cruise into NYC, or Charleston, or Boston, or.....
Sleep well.

This is true. I do however fear the fragmented fissile materials from the former Soviet Union more than anything from Pakistan. It is more likely that a group like ISIS would buy a nuke from former soviet arsenals and smuggle it into America.
Maybe on a missing Airbus?

Why bother smuggling it in? Just park it in any harbor on either coast. Hell, go through the Gulf of Mexico and run it 20 miles up the Mississippi to NO.
Watch while a few hundred billions of dollars in economic damage is wrought.

Another possibility if we had a Prez other than Zero:
I know what you're thinking. Do we have six nukes or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in
all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 megaton, the most
powerful nuke in the world, and would blow your religion clean off, you've got to ask yourself
one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

An Islamic nuclear attack on the US would be suicide (for them).
The costs to us would be trivial compared with the ability to rid the world of them.

West to Israel: Nuke the Al-Aqsa mosque, with this murderous muzzie still in it.
West to muzzies: bring on your jihad, we’re ready to cut some shahidi flesh!
