Try making one of these devices a requirement for welfare recipients and hear the cries of racism.
My blue heeler would just love to wear an activity tracking device.
Jack Russell Terriers like them too.
So productive citizens could be forced to wear them-what about welfare parasites? Or do they spend all their time jogging and eating salads and yogurt?
That’s part of the reason quality of work went down and so many businesses are failing.
Why try when you’ll never get a raise, can get laid off at the drop of a hat, and can always go somewhere else for the same pay.
State laws coming against this in 3...2...1...
Incrementalism moving forward. Just a few short steps away from mandating microchip implants in everyone to monitor eveyone and everything every time.
It’s a comin’, mark my words (pun intended)
No I won’t.
If you put your company issued tracking device on a blue heeler, it would make “them” think you are the most active human being on earth.
Those are some energetic dogs.
Before retiring my wife’s company had a fitness program. It was voluntary. Wearing a fitbit, she would get points when she met her daily goal. These points could be redeemed for gifts.
We both still wear fitbit, as someone else mentions, it is good positive feedback and a gentle reminder when you get lazy.
My daily goal is 3 miles a day. Don’t always reach it, but I try.
Such a device will eventually plug into an app that monitors everything you ingest so that diet can be closely monitored. Drugs of abuse, of course, will not be part of the screening regime, out of respect for privacy.
Dunno which is creepier, the quote or the 'title' !
Can only imagine what flavor of insufferable 'career womyn' Mz.Nancy is likely to be.
Somedays I'm quite grateful to be closing in on the finish line . . .
