"I think Colorado is just novelty and tourists. I think the attraction will fade"

Tourist counties on the Range have indeed welcomed the pot racket with open arms. That includes at least one sparsely populated, Republican majority county that's as commie as any.

Maybe it would be best to find a comfortable place out of the way and stock up on popcorn. Behold the future of today's influential political folks.

I say no-vote! Avoid buying anything that we don't really need. Become more self-sufficient every month. Learn to produce something of good use as a hobby for now.

This is bullshit. There is no enumerated power that authorizes the federal government to legalize marijuana.

There is also no enumerated power that authorized them to make it illegal - the only legal action they can take is to remove the Federal bans on it......

They should have shot Wickard, and sent Filburn to Congress.

They should have also disbanded the Supreme Court as it demonstrated, beyond all doubt, that its original purpose of nudging things along Constitutional lines was no longer being fulfilled...

When you start talking about doing things that would effect structural changes to the Constitution, there better be some serious consideration of unintended consequences to go with it.

Understood and agreed - just making the point that the Constitution is being phased out - even by some of its provisions designed to keep it properly in force. When the Supreme Court becomes a tool of those who would subjugate us to the Federal Government, serious considerations are called for.

Anyone who gets drunk should not be allowed a carry permit. One night my veteran husband came home drunk and had been attacked on the way home. He was out in the city street screaming, “You want war, I’ll give you war.” I quickly took his gun to a place where he could not find it and phoned his best buddy to come over and help me calm him down. Not everyone who gets drunk has a sober wife at home to do damage control.

Alcohol does more harm than MJ, I have lived it with a man who abused alcohol for 25 years, but got up every morning and went to work. I have seen plenty of passed out drunks, in my life, but few high potheads. When Barrow in Alaska outlawed alcoholic drinks there was a 70% drop in crime, especially familial crime. However a couple who liked to order wine on line won a legal case, so Barrow had to drop the prohibition and crime rose again.

Cory Booker has now (July 2017) proposed another MJ bill. making major changes in national marijuana laws. Hope someone will make these as new posts. While people are saying there is no chance of this passing with a Republican majority, I know that there are libertarian oriented Republicans who may agree. Your thoughts?? I am also listing some other interesting posts about recent experience with MJ laws.
