Hmmm...maybe this will shine a glaring light on the ugly truth that Americans never met a counter culture they didn’t hate and marginalize, then finally embrace!

When I saw the headline I immediately thought of the rise of Libertarianism in our country over the past few years.
But there is so much more to this story.
The story of why, how and what the left believes. The story of the other side.
These leftists are not only passionate, they are in control of virtually every aspect of our lives. They won the culture wars coming out of the 1960s and have entered every aspect of government imaginable. They maintain and grow their influence by intimidation against those that are not politically correct. They play the victim card for other people that they think should be offended.
The irony between the songs of the 60’s radicals and what is happening today is astounding. Virtually everything that they fought against in the 60’s is what they are doing today.
If you take a few minutes and listen to Evan Sayet (a poster on FR)and his talk at the Heritage Foundation a few years ago you may get a better sense of Steele’s point. A talk Andrew Breitbart called, “One of the five most important conservative speeches ever given”

This confirms what Rush Limbaugh says. The Left has demonized Conservatives so badly that many people will not even consider the conservative point of view even though the Leftist policies always fail. Leftist propaganda from media and academia have brainwashed people into hating conservatives even though they don’t really know what we stand for. Low-information people think of us as being hateful greedy bigots.
This is the end result of Leftist historical revisionism. The USA and its Founding Fathers have been portrayed in history textbooks and by history teachers (and other teachers) as being evil, greedy and racist. They compare America to utopia, rather than to other countries. The revisionists (like Howard Zinn) then over-emphasize the negatives (we fail to meet the standards of a utopia) and overlook the positives. As a result, many Americans now feel ashamed of America’s past and don’t want to feel associated with it. When those people then see Conservatives being patriotic and proud of America, they naturally think that we must be evil, greedy and racist also.
Leftists also hate america because they must create dissatisfaction with the status quo before they can get people to try their solutions. There must be a problem before people will go looking for an alternative solution. So Dems have have agitate and get people angry at the current situation. This is job of community organizers, such as Alinsky and Obama.
The leftist doesn’t know anything else.
That is what this is about.
And what they think they know is coming around to bite a big chunk out of their A**.
