ONLY a bruise, NOT a sprain! No wonder the swelling went down overnight! I’m very fortunate. I was sure miserable yesterday.
I’m wearing that “old lady” emergency necklace. LOL.

The emergency necklace is a great idea when you live alone.
I considered that myself. Who would know if something happened quickly enough to help otherwise?:
I don’t have visitors everyday nor do I always speak with the same people or anyone everyday. The big clue would be that I didn’t show up for work. That’s the only constant.

The emergency necklace came with my house alarm system. I wore it at night when I first got it, then I forgot about it. After yesterday’s fall on the wet kitchen tile, I have learned a painful lesson. I’ll wear the damn thing 24/7.

I’m in the office today.
We had a lot of snow Saturday evening through early Sunday Morning. Yesterday was digging out and shoveling day.
I got lucky even though I spent a couple of hours, taking breaks in between, shoveling. One of my neighbors has a snow blower and he did the walk by the road and a teenager skowed up and offered to shovel the driveway. I was dreading that driveway. So I made out ok.

Thank goodness! I'm glad your neighbor and that teenager helped you. I can't imagine having to deal with snow shoveling! I have ice on my driveway, so my SUV sort of slid down the driveway..lol. No gas needed!

It’s sunny today but cold, 16 degrees. It got up to 40 yesterday so we had melt and then ice after dark. Heard sirens a couple of times.

What do you suppose the sirens were for?

We have volunteer fire depts that answer accident calls and I can hear 3 different department sirens where I live. They were probably called out for accidents on icy roads.
