I would suppose the fact the entire country is surrounded by shark infested waters has something to do with that.

All we have to do is defend the southern border. Which, of course, no one in a position to do so has the least intention of doing.

I am green with envy of those aussies.

I’m sure it helps. But knowing what kind of reception they are going to get helps even more. As the article pointed out, there were plenty of boats willing to make the crossing before Tony Abbott was put in charge.

A couple of things.

Almost half the illegal aliens in the USA got here by aircraft, and are simply overstaying their visas. There are direct flights to the USA from just about every country in the world—or at least every major metropolitan area, and often several per day from the same place.

Now it is a pain to fly to Australia. I know. I’ve done it. The flight is long for one thing and access is controlled before you even leave your departing airport. And there really isn’t that many flights compared to the USA.

But the Aussies are correct—you can discourage them from even trying. The democrats laughed at Gingrich and Romney back in 2012 for saying that the illegals here would mostly self-deport if we made things hard for them. Looks like the Republicans were right.

The left treats this as a major scandal. Australia sends these immigrants to other countries.

My thought was similar: sort of hard to swim across several hundred or thousands of miles to get across the border and into the country.

“Refugee advocacy group ChilOut said the Australian government has moved children out of detention in Darwin and transferred them to Nauru in the days following the release of the Human Rights Commission’s damning report into children in detention.

“Children who were taken from Blaydin Point detention centre were not provided with notice – they were removed from the centre, put on a plane and deported back to a place that has caused them serious mental and physical harm,” ChilOut director Claire Hammerton told New Matilda.”

The left has gone nuts on this issue in Australia, this author makes it seem like a huge success story. The press is savaging the government over this.

“President Obama needs to toughen up”
There is much naivete to this. All you need to about the border issue is this:
If it was found that the Hispanic vote went 60/40 for the GOP the border would be shut tight within two weeks. Chain migration would be stopped and anchor babies would be challenged all the way to the SC.

Australia ships more young children to Nauru - Radio New Zealand

http://www.radionz.co.nz/international/pacific-news/266372/australia-ships-more-young-children-to-nauru

excerpt

An Australian Greens senator, Sarah Hanson-Young, says the Australian government is still sending children to the Nauru asylum seeker detention camp.

She says Australia sent children, some as young as four, to the camp on Friday and Saturday, just days after the release of a damning report on the abuses they face.

In the report the Australian Human Rights Commission says Canberra’s policy of indefinitely detaining children in Nauru is in clear violation of international human rights law.

I think that Australia has elected a government that carries out the wishes of its people, who prefer to follow the rule of law. This is in stark contrast to the USA.

I cannot say whether disorder will win in the USA but it certainly is out in front as we allow illegals into our country, two illegals for each job.

No concern at all for the unemployed citizens of the USA, especially blacks. As long as we have low information voters we will continue the path to certain chaos.

If they wanted our borders secured, it would have happened decades ago.

Clearly, the old fixeroo is in, and we are the rubes in the cowtown audience going for the scam.

Australia Immigration Department denies it has approved a Sirul tell-all interview on murder

http://www.smh.com.au/world/australian-immigration-department-denies-it-has-approved-a-sirul-tellall-interview-on-murder-20150220-13k3q5.html

The Department of Immigration has said that it has not approved any tell-all televison interviews with a police commando sentenced to hang in Kuala Lumpur who is currently held at Sydney’s Villawood detention centre.

Sirul Azhar Umar told Malaysia’s online news website Malaysiakini that he has been negotiating with Australian television stations for a politically explosive interview where he would reveal who ordered him to shoot Mongolian socialite Altantuya Shaariibuu as she begged for the life of her unborn baby, before blowing her up in a patch of jungle on Kuala Lumpur’s outskirts.
