>>Bottom line, as of now the rats are filibustering an illegal executive order allowing funding to illegal immigrants.<<

Exactly, and that’s how the GOP wins this thing, i.e., by putting the Dems in an untenable position. They’ll now be shutting down Homeland Security (which might not be a bad idea under better circumstances, but that’s another issue) because they’re not getting their way on an executive amnesty that a federal judge has called into serious question. But the press has already set up shutting down DHS as a travesty because they were trying to lay the blame on the GOP at the time. Hard to reverse course now without being obvious hypocrites.

So now it’s the Dems causing the travesty the media claims will occur.

And just as Chris Matthews appears to have had it with Obama’s handling of ISIS, eventually some Dems are going to get fed up with Obama continually making life tough for them. When that time comes, even veto overrides might become feasible in many instances.

Take the present case. It might now be possible to get the 60 votes and pass the House bill in the Senate. Say Obama vetoes it. Now you’ve got Senate Dems in an interesting box. Uphold the veto and shut down DHS. Vote to override it and DHS operates. Either way, the executive amnesty is unlikely to succeed, so the Dems get the entire blame if they shut down DHS. They gain absolutely nothing if they vote to uphold the veto, except blame for whatever happens next.

You sure? I thought that was the DC Court of Appeals. This one is in Louisiana.

Of course I am sure. You are right and I misspoke. :)

There is still almost two years until another election. Now is the time to fight. Shut It Down and shame the devil.
