AND they use children for their leverage, completely ignoring the effects this has on the children ... and the filthy mainstream media never focus upon this aspect of their degeneracy.
There is no friend. They targeted the school knowing they would be denied so they could play their grievance card to the press.
Yes, many Christian private schools, and colleges already do that.
I believe that the one I attended in Durham, NC growing up did, as well as Liberty U, where I went to college.
We can laugh now. But eventually science will devise a way for one of them to carry the child ... Even for a short time.
that could very well be too, that they made it up.
Science, now, can give him a false memory of carrying the child. That would seem to be sufficient.
And totally screw the guy up forever.
No, I have posted previously that such an arrangement would be untenable for a Christian school. The children are not the only ones who enroll, the PARENTS of the children are also virtual enrollees in such schools. Parents are brought into the life of the school in multiple ways; in assemblies, parent/teacher organizations, childrens' programs, etc. It would be expected that the parents would be "accepted" in all of these community functions as equal to real parents. Can anyone imagine these sodomites being barred from attending school functions together while "their kids" participate?
Parents enroll their children in such Christian school precisely to escape this perverted cultural worldview and to protect their children from it. It would be a slap in the face of these parents to subject them to what they spend hard-earned money to avoid.
I am surprised a Christian school would not accept the kids. Who needs Christian surroundings more than kids in such a tough situation? By turning their backs on those kids the school is not serving as Christ would like. IMO
I use to think that way too but now think it’s just a lawsuit waiting to happen.
I got a bit cynical.
The thing is...we are all sinners. We just don’t wear it on our sleeves and proclaim we’re proud of our sin/sins. We don’t expect, and then file lawsuits, to change the policies of Christian schools/churches.
But don’t you think that is the goal here? Force the churches and religious schools to change their stance on homosexuality?
St. Vincent’s School, formerly episcopal, won the legal fight over this sort of thing by stating that they would not accept children who were not the product two legally married parents, though divorced and deceased parents were acceptable. That made the “no two moms” and “no two Dads” policy stand up because they had to turn away children of single mothers and never married couples, too, though if the never married then married, it was OK as long as both parents signed off on the contract. Hence, it was a gender neutral, LBGT neutral policy.
They were still targeted by a lesbian who wanted to enroll a kindergartener, a county level Democratic activist.
They said it was horrifically bigoted and tried to sue. School got death threats, bomb threats, etc.
All because they want to be able to teach in daily chapel that God’s ideal family is mom, dad, married to each other, with children. Everything else is less than ideal, and same sex relations are not Biblical, no matter how much “love” is involved.
The justification for the act of turning away the child is so that the kid doesn’t go home crying, “Mommy, Mommy’s boyfriend, the priest said you’re living in sin!” or “Mommy, other mommy, what is sodomy? The priest said it is abomindable!”
You have to turn away the demographic to be allowed to teach the message today, or else you get sued for hurting someone’s feelings. “You made my baby cry telling it we’re wrong! Don’t you know a family is love!”
More likely sued the moment they teach traditional views on marriage, because it discriminates against a kid with two Dads, or talking about sodomy as a sin hurts their feelings.
Having the student in the building gives them the ability to demand changes to the curriculum, donate books with their views, sue over refused positions in PTA, etc.
Yep! And it’s impacting the Catholic schools too.
The parish school my kids attended also had us sign but again, it could also be negated in a court. This is their agenda and it’s been happening for decades.
I agree with your #27 and in addition, not allowing the kids to enroll teaches the kids that their “parents” life style is not acceptable and why it’s not acceptable.
Well said. I saw this happen at our parish school. All four of our kids attended k-8 but it changed, incrementally.
Also happened at our public high school that all four of my kids attended (one still attends).
A friend/teammate, child of two lesbian parents, how do you exclude the parents without impacting the kid? You can’t. The kid was a great kid. A good friend of my two older kids. So my kids interact with the kid and her moms. How do you say that situation is weird/abnormal? It is but how do you say it when these a nice people who appear normal in every other way?
This is why it’s a problem. And this is how they are changing and have changed the dynamic.
And by accepting them, they are opening up a whole slew of problems.
Our parish school accepted them. And they proceeded to change the dynamic.
That’s exactly the goal.
They might fool you but not most of us on FR. Once homo “marriage” is legal across the country, they will demand full access to the children.
Nope. Per the source article ...
Copeland and Bullard aren’t planning any legal action against the school.
