I worked in NORAD and there is the entry tunnel is about a third of a mile walk. Diesel trucks going by constantly. They would run the vehicles inside the cave.

But fear not, now that the Mexican trucks are cleared to come in under NAFTA, there will be plenty of non-EPA compliant diesels to carry the freight. It will be interesting to see if they end up being able to come in to California in non CARB compliant trucks unlike Americans.
