Even the RINOs here in Michigan have gotten pretty comfortable with resisting the feds.

As is customary in these threads,
here is a link to my proposed amendments along with their impetus/rationale.
(Contains amendments for restricting taxes, ensuring financial accountability, restricting the commerce clause, restraining the judiciary, repealing the 17, and a few more.)

That's the problem with 'em stinking snow birds/damn yankees.
They bring and vote their screwed up vales in our good Southern States.
Jeb's sure to keep enough conservatives at home, that the DemocRATs will get another Fascist in the White House.

The federal government follows the Constitution to the letter. Unfortunately, it's the Living Constitution, the Constitution symbolized as a Tree, the Constitution that evolves with the times even though its words never change, the Constitution of penumbras and emanations, that the federal government follows.
When the federal entity goes beyond the Constitution's words to govern by penumbras and emanations, then the states should modify the words by amendment to restrict what the federal government can and cannot do.

Well, the idea is that if our states reassert their constitutional rights and reclaim their constitutional powers we can turn it around. The Republicans now control something like two-thirds of the state legislatures so now is the time.

It’s called “case law”, or “precedent”. When you build an edifice of case law, you modify and change the meaning of words until they mean something that is quite different from their original intent. You clarify the situation by amending the Constitution to realign with original intent and close the loopholes created by case law.

The states created the federal government. They have the power to retake control.

I know this is the only peaceful way to try to stop the Marxist takeover.
But Obama has had NO opposition to any major part of his agenda and some of that agenda has been to undermine the US Constitution.
Now that he's stacked the court with like minded goons and cowed any Congressional opposition...well, I don't expect anything to change.
More than likely, these Constitutional processes will be struck down as unConstitutional by big liberal judges (or something else)...
