They NEVER END. One, maybe, can make the case that humans are affecting the atmosphere in some way - but no, NO WAY IN HELL, are we able to affect something as MASSIVE as the oceans on a global scale. Not a prayer. And for anyone who thinks otherwise, put them on a trans-Atlantic cruise and have them get to me.

Last I checked any pH above 7 was basic. Seawater has been on the basic side since 1900. The changes are neverin the acid range so acidification is wrong. Less basic...maybe.

The final (honest) chart in the article shows that, if anything, the ocean has been becoming a little more basic in the last century. The "ocean acidification" notion is a complete and utter fraud, based upon the omission of data not friendly to this theory. Shame on these dishonest scientists.

I like this idea....just let the state fund engineering and medical degree courses, and let the rest go full-price ($40,000 per year). We could get back to teachers just having an associate’s degree (all they ever needed).

Now onto my “education of Earth’s history”. By what means did the oceans currents cease? What biological or chemical reaction caused the oceans to turn that green FAZE? Why not red? And please enlighten on why now the oceans are blue.

I say the C-P causing asteroid in fact blew a large quantity of water back out into space, thus sea levels decreasing.

In all that I still did not find any green ocean fazes...... or theories of 5 mass extinctions. You did make a good, although misconstrued, try though.

I read an article online about Ocean acidification and it seemed scary until I realized it was an article from the New York Times. It may be difficult to find any changes are occurring. If wrong data is released on scientific subjects. Scientists are producing bad scientific theories from their silly projects but it may be possible to keep these scientists doing busy work for some time so that rogue nations and militant groups do not use these scientists to create new weapons.
