Not being arrogant, but I did. I watched him campaigning and he didn’t appeal to people, he manipulated them. Just the manner with which he spoke, he spoke down to his crowds and his opponents. He still speaks down to this country - he doesn’t need experts, he knows better than they and us.
I literally bawled watching George & Laura fly away on Marine One. It still to this day gives me a knot in my throat to recall that image. Every ounce of class and dignity flew away on that chopper from the White House on that day.
George’s ranch is only 70 miles from me and like you I totally agree with him and Laura being a Class Act particularly compared to the current occupants.
Plus Laura and I went to the same high school one semester.
That said, George was a deficit spender and couldn’t say no to big money.
So, to me, I rate his presidency overall at a C-.
Like you say though he and Laura were all class and still are. Plus he was a unquestioned Patriot!
Exactly. He loves his country and it showed.
My in laws went to college with Cheney. :)
I know it’s never happened and I know it is not likely to happen and all that. But, I wonder if Hagel left because he would not participate in talk of arresting Obama?
:) Are you implying there might have been an actual discussion that revolved around the possibility of removing this moron from office?
I think he quit because he was forced to work with a three ring circus that is the White House. After a while one becomes weary and angry of working for an organization that makes this country look like a disgrace. Hussein probably tried to strongarm him and Hagel said I’m done. When you’re in a position, trying to do your job and you have a fencepost turtle for a boss, eventually you run out of steam and enthusiasm.
Active Duty ping.
Yes, tomorrow I will try and send you a link to one or more writings on this subject.
I agree with what u said but I think it was a lot heavier than even that.
I think there was just a MAJOR long list of policies coming out of the Marxists around Obama that Hagel could not support. ISIS is probably the straw that broke the camels back. I suspect that to be so because slow Hagel finally snapped to the axiom that “policy kills” and Presidential level policy kills absolutely!
While I can agree, a coup is not the path we want to go down, and it sets a bad precedent. On the other hand, the traitor in chief is also going a path we don't want to go down, and it is DEFINITELY setting a bad precedent as well. He could order all of us into the camps, and not one person would be able to stop him. I don't know what the answer to all this crap is. I don't like a coup, nor do I like a king, and I think that is what the Obungler is acting like right now. It will be interesting to see what the gutless old party does in January. If they don't stop the king, then we really might be just a footnote in the history books.
I appreciate it. Thank you!
McChrystal wasn’t so hot himself. All of his wonderful special operations experience translated into a failing war after all. His policies got a lot of people killed. He and Obama deserved each other.
My point is any four star general having to take orders from this socialist/terrorist supporting commander in chief is pathetic.
Eventually McChrystal did himself in.
