check his beliefs at the door
WHICH door?
The government tyranny door.
The Book Burners are back.
Call the fire dept!.`
Dispicable government. They want nothing but government zombies with no morality in charge. When the call comes, they would obey the conservative quarantine.
Follow up article.
The out house door?
(And yet, the Feds are suing Star trucking for firing 2 muzzies because they refused to haul liquor and sued the company for disrespecting their religious beliefs).
PASTOR Fire Rescue Chief Kelvin Cochran’s book can be ordered online - link in the article.
I bet we can Freep him over the loss of 14 grand. And it sounds like a VERY worthwhile book.
I wonder if Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran was told also to get back on the plantation.
Can’t have a Montag as the fire chief......
Did he publish his book at the firehouse? Or is there a clause in the fireman’s creed that when you become a firefighter you loose your rights as a free man?
Sodomites make lousy masters.
"The public use of one's reason must always be free, and it alone can bring about enlightenment among men. The private use of reason, on the other hand, may often be very narrowly restricted without particularly hindering the progress of enlightenment. By the public use of one's reason I understand the use which a person makes of it as a scholar before the reading public. Private use I call that which one may make of it in a particular civil post or office which is entrusted to him. Many affairs which are conducted in the interest of the community require a certain mechanism through which some members of the community must passively conduct themselves with an artificial unanimity, so that the government may direct them to public ends, or at least prevent them from destroying those ends. Here argument is certainly not allowed - one must obey. But so far as a part of the mechanism regards himself at the same time as a member of the whole community or of a society of world citizens, and thus in the role of a scholar who addresses the public (in the proper sense of the word) through his writings, he certainly can argue without hurting the affairs for which he is in part responsible as a passive member."
In short, the chief checks his beliefs at the door, but he gets to retrieve them and proclaim them when he returns home. He did not publish the book in his role as fire/rescue chief, but as a free citizen of a free society. It is an outrageous tyranny of the highest order that he would be professionally lynched because he did not bow down his knee to the Progressive Massa. Mayor Kasim, have you left no sense of decency?
That you for that quote Laz. It will be a good litmus test from now on.
Did he publish his book at the firehouse?
Doesn’t matter, free speech applies only to the left. Laws apply only to the right.
He should sue. Sounds like he’s going to take the one month suspension and then sue for damages.
This is basic freedom of speech. I can see them prohibiting him from espousing his views at work. But you don’t lose your rights to free speech just because you have a public office.
Yes, that you Laz. very applicable quote.
Best comment from the hysterical sodomites on the Amazon page:
“I would be very afraid to be an LGBT person in a fire under this man’s watch.”
Are they going to keep on having gay sex during the fire so the fire chief would notice?? Apparently LGBTs don’t understand the nature of FIRE. It hurts. Stop having gay sex and go outside when your house is on fire. The firefighters really don’t care.
