It’s also no surprise these comments came at an “academic conference.” You wouldn’t believe some of the stuff I’ve heard. A lot of the ivory tower academics are so insulated from reality and so used to being surrounded by those who share their extreme ideology that they have no compunction about spouting the unvarnished truth and some incredibly intolerant speech. But, because they’re “enlightened” and surrounded by like minds, nobody calls them on it.

HHS Actively Hid Paid Shill Jonathan Gruber's Relationship With Administration

We already knew that Gruber testified before Congress, shilling for Obama, without thinking he needed to mention he'd received almost $400,000 from Obama (via the HHS), and was speaking with his de facto paymaster, Peter Orszag, all through this process. While Orszag was pimping his "independent analyses" to the sleepy-headed media.

That we knew.

What we didn't know is that Congress asked HHS to disclose all of its consultants. And the HHS refused to do so.
