give the girls a chance to succeed or fail.
How many boats will be forced to betray their position for pregnancy?
How many of those female skippers actually know how to keep a crew in line when morale is low and you haven't seen sunshine in 71 days...working 6 on, 6 off Port and Starboard shifts.
I don’t think this will end well, but it was not supposed to. I believe that it will cost some or a lot of someones their lives. The sea/ ocean is an unforgiving place.
And submarines are pretty damn expensive.
Horny young men and nubile young women stuck together in confined spaces with no place to go - what could go wrong?
PATHETIC....our women do not EVER need to be in the line of fire...that’s what a defense department is for...
A society that places its wombs in harms way is in decay.
that's not fair....if they are properly trained, we are just as secure under their watch as we would be under the watch of equally trained men....My objection is that we do not EVER need to put our women in the line of fire....isis does that...
Great,...Estrogen and nuclear launch codes,...../s
“that’s not fair....if they are properly trained, we are just as secure under their watch as we would be under the watch of equally trained men....My objection is that we do not EVER need to put our women in the line of fire....isis does that... “
taking your second point first, if women and men are equal, then why can’t we put them in the same line of fire as men?
and the first point, are we really more secure if a female soldier has to fight off an isis soldier?
why does my common sense tell me that’s not so.
indeed women and men are equal, just not in everything....we protect our women because that's what men do and putting them in the line of fire, unless it is absolutely necessary for survival, is out of line.
as for a woman having to fight off an isis soldier....if she commands a submarine she is assured of victory
isn’t it sexist to assume that female sailors role models must be females? or that they require female officers be “assigned” to them,’specifically?
I hadn't read about this. Have there been actual NJP's or courts martial regarding this? And has it been reported publicly, or has it been covered up?
Active Duty ping.
MASSIVELY covered up. Talk about it and kiss your career goodbye.
You’re not going to read about it, but it is happening. You’ll really hear about it at the bars after the carrier has left for Westpac duty. They get together and really complain about it (the wives - the ones without kids).
Their husbands come home and talk about it to them.
Try binging it. Google it on a blog search.
We don’t need no bloody submarines.
I was stationed at a land base and the Navy women were bragging about how much money they made on the tour. They were not talking about their pay either.
