Poo pooing Baumgartner and forgetting Kittinger. He’s the one who deserves credit. The others know it will work, he didn’t.

I don’t care who does it, we have to have some way from
orbit in the event of emergency.

An insulated, ablative pod combined with a suit such
as this may be a step in the right direction.

Again, a hit n run posted comment on a busy weekend.

...Kittinger. He’s the one who deserves credit.

Spot-on.

The focus being that I immediately observed a lib bent to the reporting of the 'secret, but record-breaking' jump by a Google executive.

Barf-able.

We’re really not arguing. I agree with you.

It’s just that Kittinger led an amazing life and he seems to be forgotten because some other guys went a few feet higher.

Not forgotten here. He was one of a long string of old-hats on the local radio station talking about their careers & achievements.

Great interview.

...and I didn’t take your comments as argumentative.

Though mine ‘were’ defensive, as I regretted not having more time to comment earlier.

Definitely not a pioneer, just a "me too".

What?

He is the FIRST person to travel faster than sound.
