"As someone who lives in Pennsylvania, I need to choose between a crappy Republican or an Obama Marxist who wants to raise taxes by 188% and will probably turn most interstates into toll roads.
Its an easy choice for me to make with a clear conscience."
I have no problem with that. YOUR vote, YOUR decision.
I just have an issue when someone asserts that if others do not vote party lines that they are somehow responsible for the downfall of a party that apparently cannot field a candidate with broad support.
Votes are to be EARNED by candidates, they are not OWED.

all it takes for evil to prevail is for good people to do NOTHING....or something like that.....we now have Obama rather than Romney, please don't tell me that there is no difference....PATHETIC
Sorry, but your quote does not apply to conservatives who refuse to vote for GOP-E candidates like Romney who supported/support Abortion, the Gay Agenda, and Amnesty.
In fact, I'd say it applies to people like you, who choose to vote for evil which is what you do whenever you vote for someone who supports abortion or the Gay Agenda.
And you are right about it being PATHETIC.
It's pathetic that a self-confessed conservative, like yourself, would be pushing for conservatives to vote for members of the GOP-E who refuse to support your self-stated principles as if they win they are going to somehow turn around and support the policies and principles of conservatives.
Show me a conservative, and I'll vote for him/her.
Show me someone who does not support Abortion, does not support the Gay Agenda, is for Limited Government and is against Amnesty and I will gladly pull the lever for that candidate.
But stop the dishonest and deceitful approach of trying to badger conservatives to vote for someone they know does not share their principles.
That, in a nutshell, is what voting is about.
It's not about voting for the lesser of two evils.

And, as we can see on this thread, they will do all that, with the approval of GOPe robots, thereby destroying the brand further.

Some of "you people" simply cannot fathom something known as 'the bottom line'. Sheesh.
When the GOP bottom line includes Amnesty, tepid support for the Gay Agenda, refusing to fight Gay Marriage, refusing to fight against all forms of Abortion, no limited Government, then the difference between the GOP-E "Bottom Line" and the DNC has become a distinction without difference.
Get back to us when the GOP returns to being the Party of Reagan.

“Great. You can have your principles while the nation swirls down the toilet”
These people have no principles, they are traitors to the cause turning their backs on the citizenry. Petty pukes and trolls.

Fine...you just go ahead and stay at home then; and don’t come back on FR to regale us with any bitches you have about a ‘Rat senate majority.

Yep. The GOP-e robots are out in force today.
And they are nothing better than moles. They certainly do not have the courage of their convictions, if they had any convictions in the first place.

Oh, I won't stay at home, but I won't vote for your GOP-E candidates either. I will vote for conservatives wherever I find them. If that is in the GOP, great. That is my first choice.
However, if I can't find a conservative candidate in the GOP, I will find one in an independent party and vote for that candidate.
Oh, and I will "bitch" about the fact that we don't have a GOP Majority, if that occurs, by putting the blame where it belongs, the GOP-E and their lousy candidates that don't represent conservative principles.
In case you forgot, FreeRepublic is not a Republican Website, it's a conservative web-site.
From Jim:
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

but you'll feel so much better about yourself, looking at Harry Reid still enthroned as King. And how would having "a republican" heading the Senate be a guaranteed improvement? Do you really think that McCain et al would be much different than the Democrats?
Some of "you people" simply cannot fathom something known as 'the bottom line'.
The bottom line is that I don't have to feel guilty for violating my principles in order to support people who have made it clear have no intention of representing me.

Me thinks that Tom cries “Wolf” too much over his incompetence.
Hope Snow White’s “huntsmen” destroys Wolf in the elections.
One less Democratic varmint to deal with.

Reagan went with amnesty.
Try again for absolute purity.

And, as we can see on this thread, they will do all that, with the approval of GOPe robots, thereby destroying the brand further. The Republican party has been running on brand (reputation) for a long time now.
At this point, I wish people would take their glasses off and look at what the party is actually doing rather than mere party planks that mean jack.

Last I checked, your representative, and your senator, vote on laws that have effect on ALL citizens of the United States. That makes it my business.
Furthermore, the true trolls, are those advocating for the Lesser of Two Evil candidates put up by the GOP-E. NOT those fighting for conservative, Tea-Party candidates.
And do yourself a favor, read the whole thread. I've already posted up-thread that I do want the GOP to win the majority in the senate, but the crap being espoused by the pretend-conservatives on FreeRepublic, that we have to vote for the lesser of two evil choice needs to stop now.

Even Jesus affiliated with the prostitutes and criminals because he knew they were able to find salvation easier than the purist, self-righteous religious people who claimed they were the arbiters of “good” and “evil”.

People will not soon forget that Corbett rammed that gas tax hike down our throats, despite the wishes of the people, then tried to claim that the price wouldn’t get passed on at the pump. I know that Wolf is even worse, but when our resident RINOs are this stupid, it is hard to blame folks for staying home, or in the case of Pennsylvanians, just hating all government period.
