We are screwed. If Africa is not quarantined now, this will infect 6b people by June 2016. It is highly infectious and is only a plane flight away. When it hits Mexico, we will be in deep . . . That is an exaggeration. For mathematical reasons, the total is unlikely to go over 3 billion people by June, 2016, even with Obama in charge of our safety. Relax. Don't worry. Be happy. We are being led by an affirmative action candidate who is diverse and reads the teleprompter well. What could go wrong?

The CDC doesn't know how to protect themselves. Didn't their 'protocol' just lead to the infection of a nurse? How they gonna advise our troops? Words from an old pop song seem appropriate: "You can't even run your own life, I'll be damned if you'll run mine."

Bring Out Your Dead

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
