This
after they dragged the doctor off the stage
during the presser!
Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said there was "clearly" a breach in protocol that led to a Texas health care worker contracting Ebola after treating a Liberian man who later died from the virus, although authorities do not yet know what that breach wasIs that clear?
Sheesh. More Obonics.

“We are deeply concerned.”
Bureaucrats say that when they don’t have all the answers.
The CDC isn’t looking so mighty.

although authorities do not yet know what that breach was. The problem was not in a breach of the protocols, the problem lies in the protocols.

Frieden is a modern day Lysenko. He answers to the Obama commissars and kowtows to the politically correct delusions of Obama and his one world /open borders ideology.

Frieden is the most dangerous man in America now. Never seen a more creepy Orwellian bureaucrat in all my days.

Frieden said the CDC is taking four steps going forward: making sure the worker is cared for safely and effectively; identifying the worker's contacts; treating all health care workers who cared for Duncan as having potentially been exposed; and conducting a full investigation of the procedures in place to protect health care workers who treat Ebola patients.Going forward...?
WTH...

The CDC KNOWS all. This had to be a dumb ass nurse making a mistake. The CDC has become the Obama Vatican. We now have an American Pope. He knows all! He cannot be wrong.
The Nurse has sinned deeply. It is not the fault of the CDC if HCWs refuse to follow the Commandments!

Breach in protocol! This whole country is a breach in protocol. We have masses of undisciplined dodobirds. Wait until this hits uninformed politically correct street people.

“I think the fact that we don't know of a breach in protocol is concerning because clearly there was a breach in protocol. We have the ability to prevent the spread of Ebola by caring safely for patients.”
What a self serving POS comment from this dxxk head.
What breech was he talking about, the one that should have stopped all incoming personnel from the Dark Continent or some other we don't know about? Obvious to me, if Duncan was not in the hospital, the nurse would not have gotten infected. Once it begins to look like these suited up “protocols” do not work, finding individuals who will work in an ER will become impossible. So, I guess when no numbers get reported because there is no one to report the numbers, the problem will be protocoled away all the while, to paraphrase a popular refrain from the 80’s: While the Barry played on.

CDC chief on second Ebola case: There was a breach in protocol And hey, dumbass, there will be other breaches in protocol. Nothing ever goes exactly as planned, but it would require common sense and an absence of PCness to know that, so you and all those like you are a danger to yourself and all mankind (and that does include womyn, gays, transies., etc.).

I see on Frieden’s Wiki page that he shows party affiliation to be DEMOCRAT.
Party affiliation shouldn’t even be a concern when appointing the head of the CDC. When people are put in such positions because of their political party, our system is broken.

We’re screwed. Even the experts cannot say or tell how it happened.

I had a cousin that worked at a research facility (in Maryland I think, heck this was back in the ‘70s) where they studied the deadliest diseases known to exist. Told me the story of how you got to and from the hot room. When you left, you stepped into this small compartment which sealed off and flooded your suit with some kind of disinfectant. Next you went into another sealed compartment that flooded your suit with water, then into another compartment that did the same thing. Finally a sealed compartment where you stripped, put all of your clothing into some kind of hampers. Next another sealed compartment that sprayed you completely with some kind of cleaner. Then into two successive compartments that sprayed you with what appeared to be water. Finally into a small dressing area (mainly for underwear) and then into the final dressing area.
He told me this story around the thought, “I'll tell you, you never want to go in there if you think there is even the slightest chance of diarrhea, because this whole process takes nearly 30 minutes.”
I suspect something not even one tenth that thorough is being followed with regard to Ebola.
To: maggief
I don’t know if open borders is a breach of protocols, but it’s certainly a breach of common sense. It’s a breach of the instinct for self-preservation.
