Congress can stop it ...right after they stop welfare for smokes, booze, etc.

At least the service members are buying it with money THEY EARNED.

In MA today that carton would cost $100.00.

Funny how the mind ‘works’.

You can ‘accept’ say 6 dollar pack fags, but when it is put to you as 50 bucks a carton it seems ‘scary’....

I checked to see if fag in this case was one or two g’s and there is quite a section as to how and where the word faggot came about... Nautically and ashore....

Yeah; remember when they would put a 4 pack in the c-rats?
Used to drive me crazy when I would get those damn COOLS, but the black guys seemed to love them and I could always trade for CAMELS or PALL MALLS. CAMELS were the best but you could get 2 or 3 more drags off a PALL MALL.

“I paid a $1.30 in 1965.”

Yep and by ‘67 they raised the price to $1.70 per carton and people were complaining.

They had to be gov subsidized at that price or alternatively, I’ve also heard that tobacco companies gave the military a break on prices.
