He was a no-show at today's session of Sumpreme People's Assembly. Here is a photo (from Yonhap News) showing that Kim Young-nam, the nominal head of state, was presiding the session. He is seen sitting where Kim Jong-un should.
Here is the link to the Korean-language article on this news.

I wonder if he will eventually be used for mortar practice?

Probably not for the practice, but a real live target in a fierce firefight.

I saw a North Korean news item about two weeks ago, and it was quite obvious that the leader was having trouble walking, and seemed in pain. Probably everyone involved in the coverage was afraid to draw attention to this, so some bit of truth got out in the showing of that video.
I wonder if anyone in our intelligence services consulted with some good physicians, to get some information on what these symptoms could suggest. The leader is overweight, but why should he rather suddenly look like an old man trying to hobble along, and showing facial expressions of pain? Gout? Results of poisoning?

Sounds like Gout. Surely he has heard of Colchicine.

He may be out of public view, but at least
Kimg Jong-un Looking at Things is still adding content.
Here are looking at metal shop, looking at submarine deck, and looking at sock.

He was too busy with his Cheesy Poofs to do his job, so he called in sick that day.

When he was looking at the sock, why is there no General in uniform taking furious notes? Isn’t that part of the protocol?

You're right. He had the note-taking General present when he was looking at heart-biscuits.
The link I posted didn't work. This should work.

3 Generals to take notes of him looking at things. They must be compiling quite the North Korean Encyclopedia or something.

You really don't want to know how many Generals it takes to look at a sturgeon pond. Or at grass.

I read quite recently there was speculation Jong Un might make a trip to China. Perhaps he might be there now. Hopefully, if he is there, he won’t be allowed to return. Now that would be interesting.
I wonder if anyone has seen his wife during this absence?
To: miele man
I don’t think she shows up in public without her husband.

I think you probably are correct that she won’t be in public without Dear Leader, Jr.
