Huh?
Read post 48 again and then try to be more clear about whatever you were trying to say.
Okay. You are not right, by your conclusion.
I can’t make out your gibberish, what were you trying to say about post 48?
Get some specks, ansel12.
It just keeps getting weirder, isn’t there someone there that could help you put together a coherent post so that we could figure out what you are trying to say about post 48?
You are the best, ansel12. I’m an idiot, to think that the ebola outbreak, will not be a containment operation.
I still don’t know what you are trying to say.
I am an idiot. Thanks for indulging.
I agree with you. Doctors have been contracting Ebola...I don’t want our troops there. They are not the peace corps. They are our fighters and protectors. They should be at our borders and airports, etc. keeping Ebola OUT. Obama has been careless with their lives on many occasions in my opinion. He has an odd ideology he imposes on them. He’s a Muslim.
I know some of them personally. If ordered to spread a deadly disease, they would disobey.
It’s NOT misguided. If Bush was sending our people to Africa I would be much less concerned.
It is a bit difficult to find links, but here is one about a current effort: Army Medical Researchers Share Ideas with U.S. Army Africa
Here is one for past Army work: Walter Reed's work with yellow fever.
The Army maintains a number of overseas laboratories for infectious disease research: U.S. military overseas medical research laboratories.
I think it's for the principle that we call "an abundance of caution."
Serological studies have demonstrated Ebola seropositivity in numbers that far exceed the number of people infected in any outbreak: High prevalence of both humoral and cellular immunity to Zaire ebolavirus among rural populations in Gabon. This study found a 15.3% seropositive incidence among 4,349 individuals tested. The country of Gabon has had several Ebola outbreaks, with a total of 214 cases (if I added correctly) listed in the CDC's Outbreaks Chronology: Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever table. That means that a whole heck of a lot of people are being exposed and getting subclinical infections. If they were all infectious during those subclinical infections, I think there would be a lot more outbreaks.
OPORDs are not, to my knowledge, ever publicized. If you want to Google OPORDS to see how they are formatted, feel free.
It’s not the norm by any means. But there ARE typhoid Mary spreaders of this, clearly.
Since Ebola spreads through contaminated bodily fluids, and people without symptoms are not expelling liquids or bleeding, they cannot be spreaders. Typhoid Mary has no Ebola Mary equivalent.
