All that itll insure is Harry Reid staying in power which will ensure amnesty, baby murder, homosexual marriage, high taxes and the rest of the liberal agenda fully supported by Grimes. Can someone please explain to me how it is that McConnell, being defeated.....automatically insures the re-election of Harry Reid to Senate Majority leader?
One traitorous RINO, that is shown the door...... is not going to stop the Republican takeover of the Senate! Hasn't anyone been following the forecasts....state by state?

That would damage their narrative of fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
I haven't heard that McConnell winning automatically ensures a liberal republican senate majority either.
But that's the liberal republican script for the day....

As much as I can’t stand McConnell, we can’t tolerate democrats.

Talk to me after you've been on FR for one full presidential election cycle. Not much chance of that for a retread banned multiple times.

Well, there is that...
Thanks for letting me hone my arguments for a while, though. ;)

I'd vote in a heartbeat for a conservative Democrat.
They are scarce, so that's not very likely.
On the same hand, I won't vote for a liberal Republican, and liberal republicans are way too likely.

As much as I cant stand McConnell, we cant tolerate democrats. "Conservative" is a philosophy of government, as is "Statist". "Democrat" is a Political Party, as is "Republican". Saying you can't tolerate Democrats is rather simplistic and painting with a broad brush, like saying you can't tolerate blacks.
You can have a "Conservative" Republican, and although they are rare, you can actually have a "Conservative" Democrat.
The vast majority of Democrats nowadays are Statists. Too high a number of Republicans in Washington are Statists, and they wield the reigns of power in the Party, although their influence is slowly waning. They infest Free Republic with posts trying to goad people into supporting their Statist candidates, when in fact what Conservatives of all stripes should be doing is firing all Statists.
Conservatives are in for the long haul, not short-term gains. Our efforts will probably take several election cycles. Trying to frighten us by saying things like "there won't be an America if we don't hold our noses and vote for...[fill in the Statist Republican Candidate]" won't work with us. Sorry, no sale - but hey, you go ahead and do it (we're for personal responsibility, so it's your choice - just don't tell us what to do; only Statists are into groupthink).
McConnell is a Statist Republican.

I understand that Cochran's Dem opponent is pro-life and pro-2nd amendment.
That may make things easier there for conservatives.

That may make things easier there for conservatives. Hmmmm....a pro-life, pro-2nd amendment Communist....arguably a no brainer.

No, a Democrat.
Zell Miller was a conservative Dem. There aren't many, but there are some.
And a conservative Dem certainly could get my vote where a liberal republican won't.
I'm not a republican. I'm a conservative.

Hmmmm....a pro-life, pro-2nd amendment Communist....arguably a no brainer. A Communist, because the candidate is a Democrat? So all Democrats are Communist? Do tell!

It's either that, or he's equating conservatives to Communists.
It isn't worth much time trying to make sense out of the 'Party First!' crowd.

To: COBOL2Java
So all Democrats are Communist? Yeah, pretty much.
Do tell!
OK, but you asked.
If they're not now, they will be once they are read the riot act by "progressive" leadership. RATs are expected to vote as a monolithic bloc, otherwise, they will be "primaried out" post-haste.
Next question.

It isn't worth much time trying to make sense out of the 'Party First!' crowd. You are exactly like the guy who runs out on the football field during a play. He might get crushed by either or both of the teams....and the crowd hates him.
You can't even vote in the primaries.

Sure I vote in primaries, as long as the GOP-E allows open primaries.
Not that primaries matter much, given the rule changes and cheating to keep conservatives out (See Cochran).
Besides, when a conservative does win a nomination, the GOP generally pouts and stomps their feet and abandons them.

Which is, of course, bull patties. Your vote is for a candidate. Nothing more and certainly nothing less. There is no place on a ballot for a ‘vote for Harry Reid in disguise.”
If principles mean so little to you, why do you post here?
And if you want my vote, you can damn well try to earn it.
