Republicans really need to learn how to use the system to destroy its enemies the same way Democrats do. OTOH, Republicans don’t have the same motivations. It’s the same statist versus freedom problem.

You have defined the precise problem: The GOP is offering NO good alternatives to current Dem control.
Voters NEED a better alternative. Meanwhile, Dems are telling voters that GOP would raise Social Security age eligibility, cut benefits, starve kids, cancel “free” health insurance, get us in more wars, disenfranchise Black and Hispanic voters, and give more tax cuts to “the rich”.
Sickening, but it is the design of those like Rove who say GOP must play a stealth game, not risk taking a conservative position on anything, not allow government to be shut down, not impugn Obama, just play nice and show your tummy, and hope the voters give you back the ball.
Kills all the bugs, keeps the crime rate down.
Actually, they are offering the exact opposite of RATspeak, unfortunately, since actions speak louder than words, they aren't keeping their promises.
TEApublicans need to wrest control of the House and Senate RINOs, and honestly deliver what the Republican-base have written into their platforms.
