Not the same DA, but the same DA office in Austin that indicted and persecuted (excuse me, I meant prosecuted) Tom Delay on a criminal charge that was later overturned on appeal.
It destroyed his career as it will Rick Perry’s future as a potential Presidential candidate.
That’s just the way the Dems roll in Austin. Settle political feuds with criminal charges, no matter how farcical.

Nobdy follow the laws of evidence and probable cause anymore. Our country has become at the mercy if unscrupulous fast talking manipulativer lawyers. THEY are the ones that belong in jail . Half the time : subverters and corruptors of law.
America needs to be led by warriors not by lawyers
How can one fulfill a DA job if you can’t practice law? I’d think her leaving office would have been automatic. And if the answer is that DAs don’t don’t have to be lawyers, how can we get a bunch of outsiders into those positions to bust up their racket?
And that is my position.
Regardless of party, she was convicted of a what modern society considers a fairly serious crime and ought to be a premise for recusal for any DUI/DWI.
