I can't tell you how disgusted I am with the GOP and their tactics!
SAME here.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we pull this off!
Using the large print, the Shelby County (Memphis) ballot is 31 pages long. Their ploy of moving most of the local elections to the primary might backfire with all the Carr voters at my precinct this morning.
Good article.
I know Alexander is touting an internal poll with about a 29 point lead. Carr referenced an internal poll last week that showed him about 9 points down to Alexander.
I don’t know what the percentages really are, but I do know that the early voting has been heavy and there is a lot of excitement among the Carr camp. I don’t think there is any excitement in the Alexander camp; this is just another campaign they expect to buy and then put behind them.
Alexander may win handily; but my gut feeling is that Carr has a real chance to pull this off.
Do the rats have a contested senate primary? Is it and open primary?
If the rats already have their candidate and it is an open primary...Lamar can’t lose, the crossover will be massive.
Carr might pull off a 48-percent vote...at best. I don’t think he was ever the ‘best’ candidate to oppose Alexander. If you could have found some former NFL quarterback with a name, or some TV personality....you would have done better. As for voting for Alexander in the fall? No....if I were from Tennessee....I’d just stay home or vote Democrat on this particular ticket.
I don’t want to be a downer here but is it even possible to win when they’re using Democrats? Look how many Cochran pulled and McDaniel had a solid lead among Republicans.
Down to the wire?
Good ole WND — once again giving us pure click bait.
Love him or hate him, Alexander will beat Carr by a very safe margin.
>> If you could have found some former NFL quarterback with a name <<
Peyton Manning — great name in Tennessee. He could become the odds-on favorite for Alexander’s seat in 2020.
But then, who knows anything about his politics? He might be to the left of Alexander!
Manning is pretty conservative from what I hear.
Flynn needs to drop out now! What a doofus!
Tipton Co, Atoka was 5 pages, because of the locals, since I don’t know them, and they did not send out mailers, and I don’t know T county politics yet, I just voted for the main stuff. Carr, to replace incumbent has to be led by the hand State Rep Moody with Rory Bricco, did a write in for Governor, as I won’t vote for RINO halsam, and NO retain for judges. Skipped the rest if I did not know about them.
There were NO Carr signs up at my polling place as I early voted. Nor were there lamar signs either.
Split primary, you declare party, that is the ballot you vote. So both parties vote at the same time. But all judges are on both ballots. Best advice is vote NO RETAIN. Especially Connie Clark, Sharon Lee and Gary Wade, 0’care lovers.
Memphis carries Shelby Co as the city vote can out vote the County residents. The race that worries me is Shelby Co mayor. Lutteral has been a good mayor, dedra malone is a dem, and very liberal. If she were to take that seat, Shelby Co is in MORE trouble that the school system issue ever brought them to.
I voted for the maniac for Governor as it makes no difference.
There is a heated Dem primary race for Cohen’s seat. That might limit some of the cross-overs.
Peyton is one of us...he is a Republican as is his father, etc. He would win big time.
The problem with Carr is his campaign has been terrible. He will lose because of it.
He has made Lamar nervous, though and, if we have massive turnout, we can beat him (we meaning Conservatives)
Prepare to be shocked. He ran a very different style campaign and it may just work.
There is a heated Dem primary race for Cohens seat. That might limit some of the cross-overs.
