I think the park should be named after Mrs O’Leary. The water tower is one of the few structures (the only one?) standing after, according to legend, Mrs. O’Leary’s cow kicked over a lantern and started the great Chicago fire.
As I remember washington hadn’t paid his taxes for many years. When caught he explained his birthday was April 15 and, therefore, he was “busy and forgot”. All was forgiven. Corruption at its finest.
I’m from Chicago. Jane actually lives in the same complex where I have a condo. Chicago is the only city that names landmarks and streets after someone BEFORE they die.
Having lived a couple of blocks from there, this “park” consists of a dozen benches and half a block to WALK THRU for SHOPPERS!!!!! It’s NOT A PARK!!!!! It could be named for JESUS or SATAN and NO ONE would be able to tell you because you go thru it in 15 seconds!!!!
I can see that you’ve never been to WEST VIRGINIA where EVERYTHING was named for ROBERT C. BYRD......YEARS BEFORE HE DIED!!!
That’s the “park”!!
