I liked reading "Atlas Shrugged" and read it three times 7 years apart (1994; 2001; 2008). By the third reading, I skipped most of the "man worship" scenes and focused on the dialogue. John Galt's "radio broadcast" towards the end was a bit ponderous.
"Fountainhead" was the perfect Ayn Rand book (minus the obligatory "man worship" scenes). I wanted to be Howard Roarke.
Ironically, Ayn Rand in real life was married to a rather mediocre man. That really surprised me.

More than anything, she nailed the depraved nature of leftists.
