(1)He is in power
(2)He's not running for any office
(3)He is rich.
(4)He has accomplished many of his major goals
Furthermore, a hostile Congress will not stop him; perhaps just slow him down a bit here and there. In fact, a hostile Congress plays to his strong suit, allowing him unprecedented freedom to do as he likes with "his" bureaucracy.
BTW, The "Executive Order" thing is an urban myth. He doesn't need them and in fact, has issued fewer than his immediate predecessors. He has the Federal Bureaucracy firmly on his team. They are very efficient oppressors. They rule.)
How hostile will Congress actually be in '14-'16? If they don't fund him, or oppose him strongly .... guess what .... those grid-lockin' racists get no pork, no perks, no favors.
Nope. Obama ain't our problem. Our problem is that there is not now, nor has ever been, any PROGRAM, ANY PLAN, Any LEADER to focus opposition to Obama and to restore some semblance of constitutionality to the Federal side of government.
Of course we (That is the GOP) will have a Congressional Majority in both houses in 2014. Just what are they going to do with it as the descent into madness continues? Just who on the GOP side of the aisle is going to run the show. The Boehner Babies and McConnell?
We cannot change the Democrats. So, we have to work on "our" people. They don't deliver over the next couple of years, we'll all be posting from Uruguay.
Yup, just follow the money:
Oligarch Beohner writes the blank checks.
Oligarch Reid pouts and shuts down the Federal Government whenever Oligarch Boehner refuses to write even ONE blank check.
Oligarch Obama plays and plays and plays.
Exactly. And they certainly are voting for a Republican if they do. That’s an important distinction left out. And they could word the polls to make that clear but they never do.
Polls try to drive the results, not gage them as all good FReepers know.
ONLY 50 percent strongly disapprove of Obama. I'm amazed that number's so low...
An untouchable majority leader, 34 points ahead in the polls, spent $5 million.
RESULT: an historic loss to an unknown who spent couple thousand dollars.
