There was a waterspout in New York harbor in 1976, and weren’t there a tornadoes in Brooklyn and Queens as recently as 2012? According to a New York City Government website, there have been at least 12 tornadoes in New York City since 1985. As recently as 2011 there was a tornado in Cummingham Park, only a 2.1 miles (according to google maps) from his hometown of Jamaica Estates. How could a tornado strike 2.1 miles from your home, only three years ago, and you say, “We don’t get tornadoes?
