Just the quality of a UAW-owned and government-backed company one would expect.
This may have changed in recent years, but the old Silverado’s had less legroom than the Fords.
Kudos to you, KevinB. I was going to say the same thing. The Wall St. Journal, no less.
When GM was taken over, didn’t they get a lot of new people in management positions, some of who knew little or nothing about the business or the vehicles? What is their situation nowadays? Have they got any real car people in there running things or not? Sounds like maybe not yet.
In case anyone was wondering,I am not anti-GM;drive one now. They have built some fine vehicles at different points in time.
I grew up being a huge GM guy.
My last GM was a 1980 Z-28.
As a teen I owned TWO Z-28’s the ‘80 and a ‘78.
Yea I understand those cars limitations but that is besides the point, at the time they were both pretty sweet.
As a TEENAGER I was able to own TWO real nice Chevy Z-28’s.
Just read about the NEW 2015 Z-28 in car and Driver.
it’s going for something like 70-80 grand$$.
Times have changed....looks like this ex-teen has seen his last Z-28.
I can't answer any of the questions you pose, but I would assume that the "management style" became more like that of the government that stuck it's finger into the pile.
