Perhaps (In coordination with other county commissioners/executives + county council members) should en mass vote to secede from California, then after voting in the affirmative, send these proposals to the voters of their counties in the November election. After that send the proposal to the CA Leg. and if necessary through a statewide referendum. Then on to Congess where we’d probably have to trade this state’s probable Republican votes in the House and Senate with letting Puerto Rico’s probable Democratic votes in The House and Senate for a Statehood.
Serfdom is appealing to some.
Del Norte county is home to Pelican Bay State Prison - by far the largest employer in the area. State employees don't want to lose out on the big money tax-funded gravy train by leaving California.
Southern OR wants to be part of the State of Jefferson too.
