Huh? How can she be against amnesty and for Jeb?
This should bury amnesty in the House this year.
“This is a great question. This is supposedly a very red district, but are they the same milquetoast red voters that have kept Cantor around? Some may not show up in November if thats the case. And we know the Dems are going to go all out to take a seat...plus the GOP might not help Brat out.”
After seeing how Brat did the impossible and knocked out a sitting House majority leader in a primary (not done supposedly since 1899), I’m not at all worried about his chances in the general for several reasons:
1. He’s obviously a great campaigner and will continue to be. Along the same lines, from the little I’ve seen him speak, he doesn’t come across as some right-wing extremist. Though they will try to paint him as such.
2. This is a heavy R district gerrymandered as such to give Rep Cantor power in D.C. for as long as he wanted :) In what looks like a strong GOP wave election, I can’t see how anyone in a heavily red district could lose.
3. I’m confident the money will come in, but it’s up to us to do it. If anyone has earned our financial support, it’s David Brat. If for no other reason than the fact that his win likely was the death blow to amnesty this session. I heard that people were having quite a bit of trouble getting on his site last night to donate, so that is a very good sign. We need to flood him with small donations, and he will have enough cash to prevail.
Long story short — I wouldn’t sweat the general much. Just do your part and give the guy what you can and if you’re in his district, do whatever else you can in the way of volunteer work.
+I have been extremely critical of here in recent weeks, but I will give her her due on this particular issue. Good job.
I'm betting Brat turns out to be another spineless RINO. There's a reason Sarah keeps her distance from Ingraham and Coulter.
Why in God’s name would Ingraham support Brat and then support Bush? That makes no sense but then these people never make any sense. I despair!
That creep Scarborough was bleating this morning that it wasn’t about amnesty. Chuck Todd (another creep) disagreed and reminded Old Joe that having thousands of illegal aliens pouring over the borders while people were voting last night wasn’t exactly a brilliant move on the part of the Dems.
Laura’s unmarried. Just saying.
Have I? Where exactly?

CHQ.com mentioned: No matter who else gets in the Republican presidential primaries, Jeb Bush will remain the great white hope of the Republican establishment.
In addition to supporting all of their major policy goals from Common Core to amnesty for illegal aliens, a Bush candidacy also holds out the hope of millions of dollars in consulting business and lucrative lobbying contracts for a small but powerful coterie of Bush family supporters and acolytes.
No one else in America, save Hillary Clinton, starts the 2016 political season with a larger Rolodex of Washington insider supporters than does Jeb Bush.
Anyone is an outsider compared to the Bushes and Clintons.
But Ted is an Ivy League grad member of the elite US Senate club and he has a Goldman Sachs wife.
Not exactly an outsider.
Is there even a Democrat challenger? Remember, this was Cantor's seat, the Majority Leader. I doubt that the Democrats even fielded a serious candidate during the primary.
They can't just manufacture a candidate out of nowhere to run against Brat, now that he knocked off Cantor.
Actually, there is a Democrat running. He's Jack Trammell, a professor at the same college that Brat teaches at. He was selected by the local Democrat party committee on the night before the election. Nobody else thought to run to challenge Cantor.
From the Washigton Post, at the college Trammell "joined the colleges faculty in 2000 after doing graduate work at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He has directed the schools disability support services department and its honors program and serves as an associate professor of sociology, specializing in disability issues in higher education."
That is what is going up against a professor of economics. I doubt that he has the ability to knock off Brat, even if the national party throws everything at him.

All I can do is quote my grandmother circa 1955: spare us from converts!
Can we get Jeb Bush up there?
But how can she push Jeb and condemn amnesty at the same time? Does she do so and not acknowledge the contradiction? Does she try to explain it away?
All she says “she knows” we all talk about Jeb/amnesty........
Admin moderator, please delete my Post #25.
Everything I see online suggests that she is against Jeb, and she thinks it’s important to raise amnesty awareness now so that GOP voters won’t be blindsided by ending up with pro-amnesty Jeb as their candidate in 2016:
