Uhhh...no. It was going on in the 70’s. I knew people who used to work the rest areas. It seemed some truckers weren’t real particular...
On a positive note, the funding necessary to properly mark every rest stop on the NJ Turnpike alone will be enough to finally push the Fed Gvt past the tipping point into bankruptcy.
I know of several rest stops that have been closed over the years due to “crime”. I believe they were closed because they were overrun with Sodomites.
I always go armed if I have to stop at one.
