‘I don’t think Kerry gives a damn’: Administration hammered for silence on Marine held in Mexico

He’s in the Individual Ready Reserve because he’s completed his active duty service, being in the IRR he doesn’t go to monthly drills or 2 weeks annual training.

The letter to report could be for checking his physical fitness, for administrative training or I imagine other things. It could be for only a day and doesn’t mean he’s being called back to active duty.

The Marine Corps is fully aware what has happened to him, hopefully that letter is not a legal requirement to start a court-martial or discharge process which I don’t personally believe it is.

Therein lies the rub; you hope it doesn’t carry a legal requirement.... But... they were issued after the fact, when the Corps should have known ther situation. So why issue them?

Thing is, the Øbama is running the show......l. And screwing over the military is part & parcel of this Admin’s MO.

I know of a case many years ago where a fire chief did exactly that for a fireman who was in a Mexican prison for an accident that was not his fault. Money talked then and I imagine it still does.

I'll do you one better.

I was in Central America (Costa Rica) a few years ago and THEY call Mexico the "Giant of the north." It's all a matter of perspective, isn't it?

I am SO glad that the Fire Chief bailed him out. Money was the answer, wasn't it? That tells you how miserable are the lives of their people and politicos.

Their wages aren't enough, pure and simple. I suppose that is why so many families stay linked so strongly. NO ONE is going to be of any help, except family.
