Keep in mind that Saddam Husseins hanging wasn’t botched. He copped attitude with his executioners so they deliberately decided to adust the rope to produce a slightly different result.
Keep in mind that for centuries those sentenanced to death, or their families, would tip executioners in advance to help make sure the job was done properly.
An evil man is dead, so the execution was not botched.
Practice makes perfect.
“Man killed by botched execution. News at 11.”
Execution should as painless as possible but the fact that this monster had a few uncomfortable moments doesn’t bother me one bit. Find out what went wrong and fix it for next time but no one should feel one instant of guilt over the ‘botched’ execution.
Is a murder “botched” when the victim dies a slow, painful death?
