WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Baseball Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda says he's not surprised by his friend Donald Sterling's racist remarks. The former Dodgers manager tells West Palm Beach station WPBF after 30 years of friendship with Sterling, "It doesn't surprise me that he said those things. And he shouldn't have said it."
Lasorda also offered his thoughts on the woman Sterling was talking to on the tape, V. Stiviano, saying: "I don't wish that girl any bad luck, but I hope she gets hit with a car."(continued)

Lasorda is really a nice guy, much nicer than me. I was hoping she’d get hit several times.
86 years old, set financially. Free to tell it like it is. Very funny.
She’s a plastic-surgery disaster
I thought she has a strangely shaped face and features.
Tommy...for your own good...http://www.johnspeedie.com/healy/shutup.wav
Are you addressing me, sir?
Mind you, Lasorda was recorded ON the record, and you've never heard a fouler mouth, but he didn't say anything racist as far as I know.
Having said that, I wish Lasorda well.
When you're 86 you can say whatever you want.
yep
One little story back in the 70s Lasorda would come to the Phoenix area with the Dodgers for spring training. My buddy was a bat boy for the various teams and this day he was working for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers were up big, like by 7 or 8 runs, and it was the top of the 9th, dodgers in the field. My friend began picking up the loose bats and other stuff and bagging it. (A cardinal sin in baseball as one never assumes a win, no matter what the score or inning—It’ll jinx ya)
Lasorda saw him doing it an exploded all over him, loudly cursing him up one side and down the other using every curse word known to man for about a minute. “Don’t you EVER pick up the blankety blank, blank blankin bats and blankin balls ever again before the end of the blankety blank blankin game!!”
My friend was almost stunned to tears. About 5 minutes later Lasorda came back to him and said: “Hey son, don’t mind me, we ball players are just pretty superstitious....ha ha ha”
Do you care to explain yourself?
What was that? The volume made me jump, Then it was gone. Was it a famous (or infamous)quote from Lasorda?
None other. Here’s another classic: http://www.johnspeedie.com/healy/noteasy.wav
Lasorda better hope he’s not driving, or it’s not going to look good.
I met Torre when he was still the manager of the Dodgers and Lasorda at Dodger stadium at an executive suite years ago. The dude cusses like a sailor and he can recite the minute by minute Gibson HR in 1988, which made me a Dodger fan.
However, he cusses like a sailor and being a dude who says F’ word occasionally, we bonded LOL. A damn straight shooter and won’t mince words aka he’s non pc.
And yes, I believe in what lasorda said. What she did was plain wrong and this b*tch should be in jail for recording a private conversation.
I don’t believe California is one of those, from what I’ve been told here.
