So your rooting for Nancy Pelosi? Sure you’re on the right forum?

If we were still a Republic I would agree with your assessment that we need to look at this as a marathon.

We suffered a MarxoFascist coup - and most continue to pretend that is not the reality we now live in.

The Ruling Class with the GOP-e knows where the power is going to lie and they are going to do everything they can to share in it, including getting rid of it’s base if they will not seig-heil the new order. Most Americans have nary a clue what has happened because they all have a fatal case of Normalcy Bias.

In my estimation, it’s not a marathon we can win because the race itself is a sham, a corruption and a cage. We went Soviet, and we continue to lie to ourselves that is not the case.

Then you and I have nothing to discuss.

Lifson is a great columnist, I trust his writing more than most. That being said, I know very little about this race or the people involved.

It is unfortunate that the various conservative candidates who have challenged have been so easily beaten, but perhaps as Lifson says, in this case it's not so bad.

I am very familiar with all of the NC races. Here is quick take:

Senate: Brannon had poor young campaign team, and they only reached about half of Brannon’s natural audience. The top two guys on his staff were paul bots, and they were young, worried about their turf, and do not understand the wider electorate. Tillis also had a lot of money.

NC 3 Jones def Griffin. Not a classic Tea Party v estab race - as Jones is neither liked by the TP or the estabs after 22 years of eratic voting and no intellectual coherence. Griffin had Palin and TP support, but some TP national folks like Laura Ingraham hurt him because while he’s not pro ammesty, he’s not going to win in eastern NC with a harsh pro deport campaign. No one is.

NC 2: Same deal: deport hardliner Frank Roche smoked by Rene Ellmers, a weak incumbent. Again, this is a district tht has been supported by migrant labor for a hundred years, and they don’t think that has anything to do with the vast majority of the illegal immigration problem the rest of the country has had in the past 20 years. This is a TP type district, but they are not ever going to vote themsleves out of the farming business. Roch weak candidate too.

Most ruling class types aren't going to waste their type with local tea parties. It is 'beneath them.' A bigger problem I've seen is what I call big fish in small pond syndrome. Some tea party leaders make it about them more than the movement.

The other big problem is that most tea parties don't know how to campaign, and that most that raise the money spend it on consultants instead of candidate assistance. You know thosge emails you get from those tea party groups asking for money? Those groups don't assist candidate fighting bad incumbents.

As fas as inabilty to change the gop goes, I've fired my bad incumbent Joe Schwarz and replaced him with conservative Tim Walberg. It's been done. It takes a lot of time and effort that most people aren't willing to give.

I agree, especially in regards to funding. If some of the national groups spent that six figures on candidate assistance instead of consulting, there may have beenmore funding.

Cook County went national. Every election cycle now verifies this fact, and the nation will continue to move towards the Collectivist Totalitarian State that is being imposed on us.

If you had not noticed, the Rule of Law is pretty much dead as it concerns the Federal Beast. The Executive rules by decree. Alphabets impose the Executive’s will without any public voice or oversight. Government now dictates to the people as opposed to being directed by the People. Government will now tell us what is moral, what is science, what is truth. This power is coveted by all who are elected to office. The Ruling Class now decides who is allowed to run in local and national elections and they will demonize and crush anyone daring to put an end to their rule over us.

The problem is not winning elections as if political horse races are still some kind of game we can win. The problem is that too few Americans recognize we have been overthrown in a velvet MarxoFascist coup and are stuck on stupid thinking elections will fix where we have arrived.

Elections will not fix this tyranny we are comfortable with and make excuses for.

The Ruling Class is now entrenched in power and consolidating itself. Cook County is now institutionalized and the illusion of choice is fostered on a willfully clueless people being ruled by an evil minority.

Ummm. Boehner promised the Chamber of Commerce and his other “ in their pocket” cronies to have the vote before the July 4 recess (if I remember the news analysis from last week correctly).

If they have, then it’s a Pyrrhic Victory.
