Long forgotten, but without a doubt the most despicable AND pathetic person in the whole saga was Monica's father..who basically gave Slick a pass for taking sexual advantage of his daughter.
But the first place prize of sleazy paternal instincts and reigning coward goes to Mary Jo Kopechne's father/family for allowing Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy to get away with the murder of his daughter and maybe taking a bribe as well if rumors are tree

She was a 19 year old that was used by the most powerful man in the world.
Judging by BOTH their actions before/after the exposure, they were BOTH using each other.
Monica thought she could snag herself a sugar daddy who could keep her bonbons for at least the end of his term(s) and he wanted a little plump plum he could squeeze when Hillary was off on one of her pet issues.
