Can’t Jerry Brown pass a law or sign an order to stop this?

How about the NLRB?

The gubment cant let companies move where they want to get out of their *obligations* to the locals.

Maybe Obama needs to step in/.

All of the stories so far say that Toyota is moving jobs, not people.

They have certainly improved. I bought a brand new I think Corona back in the I think the 70’s. It was the worst car I have ever had; but a cute one. I had to open up I think the cam and stick in a screw driver then go and turn the ignition over to get it started. The gears would also come loose if I parked it and the car would roll backwards into the street. Many times I came out of a connivence store only to find my car sitting in the street. LOL Never had another one. But, I hear they are good cars now.

Yes, because as we all know, there are no conservatives in California.

Geez.

These are working people, not welfare queens, coming to Texas. The management folks likely include those that helped make the decision to open a new Truck assembly plant in Texas in 2006 and close the California plant in 2010.

Bestplaces.net said that the cost of living for employees is 39 percent higher in Torrance than in Plano, and housing costs are 63 percent lower in Plano.

This on top of all of the other businesses, large and small, that have been moving out for a while now.

I did some work there 8 years ago. The people I worked with were conservative, family-oriented and hard working. One of them confirmed this story last night. Many will stay in California because of family ties. Some may try Nissan, literally right down the road.
