I know plenty about servitude, as my Grandparents immigrated from eastern Europe to escape it. Sure, the same applies to everyone, but the white and Hispanic races have not been dealt as severe a blow from government dependence...(yet)
The context was black so stick with the program here. The discussion was not about any other race. So it would have been condescending to have made the statement about everyone, but certainly more politically correct for you, i would say.

He said some things in a dumb way. It could have been easily avoided. He didn’t avoid it.

If you look at the Constitution, there is no particular constraints on speech. The left never throttles their speakers! Why is it that you must criticize Bundy for his?
As I pointed out, he is not a politician, he is not a leader of a company or a public entity. He's a rancher and a 80 year old one. You cannot teach him to conform to your views of correctness. Nor can you do that to me either...
My purpose in this exchange was to get you to think and not react to a perception that is more of a social fad then anything of substance, and it is therefore not relevant to speech or what Bundy said.
To mention race is not racist! Nor should it ever be. To do that, would be to set race relations back 100 years or to utterly destroy it. To group or use race as a weapon, is the logical result of curbs on racial discussions and the end of any hope of civil harmony between races.
The Alinsky crowd knows this. And this tactic is all theirs.

Of course, there are those who would say you were racist for using the word “slavery.” The problem is the Left is so skilled at using the Alynsky tactics to demonize someone they want to destroy. The Race Card is one of their weapons to demonize. They use it every chance they can.

Because I’m not a hypocrite. The way he said it was offensive to a lot of people. Race never needed to enter the discussion. You’re either for freedom and liberty for everybody....or nobody.
I also hate it when southerners are described by liberal yankees as stupid rednecks. Of course some southerners are stupid rednecks. But that’s an idiotic stereotype and the exception, not the rule.

This is what the media does with mass shootings. less than 100 people in the USA die per year from mass shootings but the media gets every one to focus on any mass shooting for whole month.
a 1% chance of something happening is a very small chance . and here we have a few words out of billions or 1 event of a trillion to trillionth power events that happen in America and the media gets everyone to think that is typical, a 1/trillionth trillionth chance of something happening
Last week I was on a financial forum, arguing with a Chinese who kept inferring, (actually more than inferring) that I was a racist because I was critical of certain aspects of some Chinese stocks.
I pointed out to him that I was not being critical of all Asian stocks, just some Chinese ones, and he again called me a racist.
Like I said, it's a theatrical comedy now. the word racist, means anything you want it to be as long as you can use it to win a argument when you have no other way of winning it..
