No, a thousand times no. Why should one American soldier die for UKRAINE independence? Let the UKRAINE people die for their own independence. I understand, the Russians, under Stalin killed more Ukrainians than Hitler ever did. And I also understand that the Russians populated the Ukraine area with Russians. Pretty soon there will be no more Ukrainians in the Ukraine, and it will be populated by Russians. Then there won’t be any more Ukrainian fight for “FREEDOM”. But that’s not our business.

"Conservatives know that a strong, prepared military, and the will to use it , is the only way to secure peace."plus stay out of the wars of others. We've been at war for 100 years and we have to borrow money from China to get by.

Yup. . .and the Big Zero will be faced with disaster when the first American troops are hurt because that mama on that farm in Iowa, she will call B*llSh*t on any military intervention when the Big Zero can’t explain WHY American troops (re: her son) is dying in defense of. . . what US national security interest (http://www.airpower.maxwell.af.mil/airchronicles/apj/apj01/spr01/vorspr01.html)

Well, if you would have taken the time to read my posts, you would have read that I was against sending troops to Ukraine.

Indeed. Agree.
My Post 43 explains my position as influenced by a short ‘think piece’ published back in the 90’s.

Funny, a few comments back you were saying that since I'm a citizen and have a vote I'm exactly the right sort of person qualified to have an opinion on who should fight and die where. So, do I as a voter get a say or are those who have served and been honorably discharged not allowed to vote when the subject is sending troops somewhere? Of course you do. But it's about as meaningful to criticize people who aren't paid to fight and favor a more assertive stance vis-a-vis Russia as cowards as it would be to criticize them as serial killers or child molesters. It's orthogonal to the point. The military is a tool funded and employed by the people. It is not for the instrument of government policy to call the citizens who fund it cowards or any other epithet that comes to mind.

No, absolutely not, but the writer of this article, “James Jeffrey”, is free to go if he feels so strongly about it.

Send the Ukrainians the TOWs we're sending to Syria, everything we're giving to any Muzzie country including Turkey, and whatever else we can divert from the stupid adventures King Barry has been up to.
We should help make sure that if Russia actually invades the Ukrainians aren't without the means to resist, but we shouldn't send troops or advisers for that matter. There are plenty of people in NATO who can drive to the Ukraine and teach them how to use US equipment.

"The military is a tool funded and employed by the people." Having once been property of he USMC I can tell you this, you are dead wrong on that count. It's another case of infantile theory as opposed to hard reality.
The military is a tool funded by the people and employed by the politicians and the bureaucrats they appoint. The Politicians and the people are definitely not one and the same. The last time anyone could even pretend they were one and the same was WWII and the fiction was falling apart even then.
Had the people employed the military in Vietnam, for example, the war would have been over in about two years and there would be a free, democratically elected, government running a united Vietnam as we speak.

When are you leaving to join the Ukrainian army, Keyboard Kommando?
I volunteered for infantry and paratrooper for the US army... So, you can take that keyboard comment and stuff it up your Russian/Serb/Alex Jones patoot, or whatever misfit group you belong to.
Thank your for your service.
Hypothetical: do you see anything wrong with going to war or engineering an insurrection where the real reason for the action is to force some small country to submit itself to a globalist organization and allow a few UK banking families to control its government ?
Even simpler, what if, say hypothetically, it was solely to say for a British company to buy up land that had oil under it for pennies on the dollar ?
Would these situations be a reason for the US military to go to war ?
Should the US military go to war without a formal declaration of war passed by Congress ?

We still have enough nukes to blow up the world, contrary to popular belief (1 thousand and 5 hundred at least). No nation will ever try to conquer us for that reason alone, not to mention many nations (China&Russia) possess too much of our debt and would prefer not to take those losses. You mean no nation would militarily, and acting rationally, and presuming the US would use its nuclear arsenal in warfare rather take its losses in the South Pacific etc.
As for trying to conquer the US by ideological means, a ideological nation has been making the most progress in that in doing so for decades. What is past to another enlightened nation is present to US.
Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. (Hosea 8:3-4)
I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing. (Hosea 8:12)
