Sorry, Mr. Robinson. The premise of the e-mail, and its proposed solutions to fighting the war against God are flawed.

The so-called war may look like war, and it may sound like war, but these are symptoms of something worse--much worse.

I know people's eyes glaze over and are uncomfortable when the Scriptures are quoted--but I trust the Truth of Scripture much more than I trust the observations such as contained in the Paw Ministries e-mail.

Romans 1:18 and the verses following are very clear: When God has placed his Divine judgment on a society, bad things being to happen to that society.

The common view is that when when we get too much evil, sin, and sinfulness--such as the collapse of personal integrity, truth, homosexuality, hate of God, no grace in the individual, ungodly lusts in the body, grotesque forms of worship, revolution and revolt, unforgiving hate, murder, slander, arrogance, and many other forms of godless behavior,--that we are in danger of falling under the enmity and judgment of God. (I see this argument and point-of-view over and over again in many posts on Free Republic.)

But the point of the Romans passage is that these sins and this kind of sinfulness in a society comes about because God has already placed the society under judgment.

The answer is NOT fighting against others who are doing these things, the homosexuals and race haters and baiters, the Jesse Jacksons, the Harry Reids and Pelosis, the Sharptons, and others whom conservatives view as enemies--and hence, the people who are bringing this kind of society on top of our heads. The Romans passage also says that, when God has judged a society, then man and women will encourage others to be wicked and sinful, and they will believe that they are doing right.

And, the passage says, people who are under judgment believe they are wise. But God thinks they are fools. What else can explain why Whoopi Goldberg and Rachel Maddow, and others can think that abortion, the killing of babies, is a good thing; that the matter of allowing elders to suffer and die is acceptable; that children can be arrested and sold and sexually abused, as Mabla does; except that they are fools.

Scripture, in II Chronicles 7:14 and verses following make it clear that those who claim to be God's people, the good guys, must start with themselves in repentence, prayer, the seeking of God's presence in the individual's life, then God will be stirred to begin the Divine process of healing our nation and our land.

But, even within Conservative circles, there are those who believe that heeding Scripture and the Will of God as is expressed in Scripture is needless or just plain stupid. Just watch the reaction to my post by many at Free Republic.

Scripture, not Paw Ministries, proclaims the acceptable standards and Will of God. But sadly, man will not heed its proclamations.

Well, it’s devil driven. When the devil can’t get away with blasphemy, he has to make do with people not caring. Then when enough people don’t care, the blasphemy begins. The devil wants one thing only and that’s to brag against God and to get as many people as he can to do the same thing. And when this bragging becomes impossible, he rages. Hell wins a miserable victory — it forever snatches itself out of the love of God.

Can it be that BOTH are true, and it is not an either/or.

Wickedness leads to alienation from God’s love which leads to worse wickedness and so in on a vicious circle. And yet a choice remains: will a person treat this as an escalator to willingly take down to hell in ultimate defiance, or will a person treat it as a lesson to their previously willfully deafened ears?

You can’t cherry pick scripture. You have to also heed such statements that “God does not willingly grieve the sons of men.” So often, two factions fight because they have emphasized one side of the picture to the exclusion of the other. But if something has to win out, consider this: God “is” love, but God “has” wrath.

But yet I’d agree on something. We can’t beat fools in the power of the flesh. They must be addressed in the power of the gospel. Everybody is a fool; the only question is how bad a fool is he.

The economy of law, of deserving, can only spiral down to hell in worse and worse judgment. But the economy of grace, of salvation merited not by the sinner but by Christ, can pull any willing person out of the spiral.

Be careful about sleight of hand in drawing conclusions.

All liberals lack is the power to make it happen. And the tipping point is approaching.

Sorry righttackle44, but I remember the 60s. There were good things then, but we also had hippies, free love, riots in the streets, crime, etc. Remember the Detroit riots - over 40 dead, and over 2000 buildings destroyed? Remember colleges being taken over by radicals? Remember how many resorted to drugs & sex and abandoned everything the previous generation believed?

Yet God sent revival.

It is not our place to decide God will no longer do anything for us. We need to pray for revival based on repentance.

The fault of the churches wasn’t in giving up scripture based theology. Some did, and they shrank. The fault was believing we were invincible, that God would never need to judge America, and that we could win a moral fight using politics instead of relying on the life-changing power of God.

These dark days ought to humble us, and remind us to meet together and beg God for revival. I was one of the many who repented and received life during the “Jesus People” revival. We need to focus on God, and beg for Him to move again.

Your family needs a priest that stands in the door of your home and says, “Wait a minute, devil. I’m in charge around here.”

One respectful disagreement with this sentence. I'm the head of my household, and I DO stand in the door of my home with a similar prayer, but I say "Wait a minute, devil. The Lord Jesus Christ is in charge around here."

Well, I’m no biblical scholar and am lost in scripture, but my complaint is that our unlawful government is using the “force of law” to destroy our society and our constitution and our liberty. My feeling is in order to complete their mission of transforming America into a godless totalitarian state and perhaps later merge it into a world government, they must first destroy all traces of God from the public square and even from our minds and hearts.

They must brainwash the children starting at the youngest age possible (and they’re doing it). They are removing the word of God and all traces of the Christian religion from all government institutions including federal, state and local governments, public buildings, schools and possibly even churches and replacing it with love of mother earth, the animal kingdom (of which, according to them, man is just another species that can be bred, herded, worked and slaughtered at will), environmentalism, darwinism, collectivism, atheism, abortionism, homosexualism, sodomy, fornication and evil of just about any nature.

I’m pretty sure the bible mentions something to the effect that calling good evil and evil good is a bad thing and that nations or societies that do this or allow it are going to be bound for dark places. Well, we’re nearly there as a nation. And I’m not willing to be plunged into total darkness without a fight. Maybe I don’t have much to fight with but I intend to resist to the end.

The author of this piece says the end has already been written and God wins. I believe that. And my understanding is that God is also the beginning. We can influence nothing but the present and not much of that, but I’m not ready to surrender. We have no way of knowing how much longer our nation will continue, but I believe we need to try to reverse its present course for as long as it does.

Maybe God doesn’t want us to fight individually for our nation, and maybe we should be concerned only for our own souls, but I doubt it. And maybe the end is already here and we have already been judged and are already headed for hell and it’s irreversible... but I say fight on anyway. Not saying the scripture is stupid, but fight on just in case the conclusion has been misinterpreted. Fight on until the world goes dark, just in case it’s not too late. I’m pretty certain God will deal with us on his time.

Christians need to vote and campaign for laws and elected government that reflect traditional American values.

We need to roll back the left’s gains of the last 50 years.

If you vote, then vote as a Christian, and never, never, try to deceive Christians into not voting as Christians, the Christian/conservative vote is the only hope for this nation, and to restore our culture and return to our limited government.

Big government feeds on social liberalism and acceptance of social and moral decay.

Do not fall prey to the libertarian efforts to remove God and traditional Americanism from our political decisions.

When a candidate tells you to drop opposition to social liberalism, then reject that politician.

I see lots of Christian-flavored hot air here.

You know the bible talks about a form of religion but denying its power.

Show me someone who actually walks the walk of small government better than Paul currently is. I say this to the shame of modern American Christendom.

A government that is big enough to spread moral decay is too big. Period!

I see it as well, people fighting for libertarianism and gay marriage, drugs etc, by pretending that it is the Christian thing to do, to NOT vote vote conservative and pro-life, and pro-marriage, and pro-conservative, because if you do, the claim is that somehow that is unChristian.

Evidently you can’t be a Christian, and be conservative, is the claim.

Cruz walks the walk to small government, Paul walks the walk to social liberalism, and large government.

socail conservatism, creates liberal voters, social conservatism creates conservative, small government voters.

Don’t hide a liberal agenda behind hot air, shouting GOD!! while fighting God and fighting conservatism.

If you want to change the laws promoting social decay, then you have to elect leaders who will, not one who tells you to give up that fight, erase that goal from your party, and who’s social liberalism will only lead to more big government.

Can you prove that Cruz outdoes Paul as far as government virtue is concerned? If you steal more but commit adultery less, does that make you better?

Until I see you quote something out of Cruz that shows red meat in reducing government, I will continue to treat him as a joke in that category compared to Paul. You have theory that you don’t even TRY to join together. You just make flat statements.

Yes but you go back to your 10 year fight for gay marriage, Paul came out with a position supporting gay marriage and social liberalism.

You have had this proven to you over and over, and you just keep going back to your same pro-gay marriage arguments.

The old Ted Kennedy defense, “I’m not personally anti-God, and for gay marriage, abortion, drugs, social decay and social liberalism but........I am going to fight conservatives and conservatism to my last breath”.

You weren’t using the God angle yet, but you were already calling social conservatives, nanny staters, in fact that was the phrase you were obsessed with, as you promoted the radical and bizarre libertarian party.
