Smoking a joint will make you high for a few hours.
Eating dope will make you really high til tomorrow afternoon.
The following FR thead seems to contradict the statement above.
FR: Marijuana Overdoses Kill 37 in Colorado On First Day of Legalization
What am I overlooking?
People are doing pot, some people walk off buildings.
Occasionally there will be someone who does both.
They are implying cause and effect.
But it is as wrong as saying driving a car causes accidents. Many people drive cars, SOME have accidents.
If EVERYONE who smoked pot fell off a building, then you would be on to something. One example does not prove anything.
PERSON KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENT AFTER SHOPPING AT WALMART!
Equally valid headline. Does not mean shopping at walmart causes death by car accident
“An autopsy report released Wednesday says he died from the fall but also lists “marijuana intoxication” as a contributing factor in his death.”
That must have been one hell of a cookie
Just out of curiosity, who has surgery in Colorado these days?
Was he doing hanstands on the railing? Weed cookie + balcony = death?
Not sure we are getting all the facts here. C’mon AP you could do better than that if you wanted to.
What a shame, the kid was only 19.
He should have waited until he was at least of legal age before eating the pot cookie and falling to his death.
I wonder if he knew that the cookie contained a drug? He may be completely innocent in this terrible thing.
Pot is a harmless herb that’s good for you. - Runt Paul
He didn't have to jump! Changing his name would have solved a myriad of problems.
I’d like to know what his BAC was at the time of his death.
Dead dopehead.
Good riddance.
Alcohol for the win!
Today’s death count:
Planking/falling off on balcony while high on pot: 1
Driving while drunk: 28 (Includes innocent victims).
Do they not have balconies in the Congo? It isn’t really that difficult NOT to fall off them, even if you are high.
Just a big guess here, but did the deceased’s simultaneous alcohol consumption (admittedly assumed) and/or a defective railing have anything to do with this tragedy? Consumption of large amounts of THC laden anything in isolation would be more likely to glue one’s behind to a chair or sofa in front of a TV test pattern with a bag of chips in the lap than make one try and play “balance beam” on a hotel room balcony rail.
What goes up, must come down.
Apparently, marijuana doesn’t confer immunity to stupidity or accidents.
