I used to listen to him. I try from time to time but about 98% of when I do 1) he’s not there, 2)talking yet again about how he got sick eating in San Fran restaurants (doesn’t this schtick get old?), or 3) rambling about nothing and hawking old books.

Savage is more entertaining, even when he’s being stupid. Hannity is probably a nice guy but I can’t listen to him for long as he repeats the same stuff.
Now I change the station after Rush ends because Savage is a self-centered, boring, condescending, blowhard.
I liked Savage but he is the only talk radio personality on the right that makes me miss Hannity. They shifted him from the local blowtorch to one station above the state police traffic alert.
I just turn it off after Rush anyways, nothing else needs to be said.
I can’t stand either one of them, but at least Hannity has a pleasant enough voice for radio, something Savage does not.

I still listen to Savage, but frankly I find him a disgusting little man with with an inferiority complex. He spends most of his time now trashing his competitors and gloating over how he beats Hannity. Frankly, I am tired of his shtick, and turn him off when he starts in on trashing other talkers.
To be fair, I have never heard Hannity anywhere but on FOX NEWS. I sometimes refer to him as Howdy Doody, but he is on our side. I know nothing about his radio show, but I do listen to Rush every day via my DAR.fm service.
I have been a Rush fan going back before Dan’s Bake Sale.

Actually he's not, despite his self bloviating braggadocio...... Here in S.E. Michigan, WJR 760 AM dropped Hannity from the two hour 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. time slot back in January. Not due to his ratings but rather because WJR is owned by Clear Channel and Hannity’s contract with Clear Channel ended and he dumped them. WJR had no choice but to bring down Savage from his obscure evening slot to fill the drive time two hours.
As for Hannity, he was immediately picked up by the Patriot Channel which has two stations here, 92.7 FM and 1400 AM, both of which now carry him in the extended three hour time slot of 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM…………
So we now not only get him for three hours but on the much preferred FM radio band………….
Now as for your claim that WABC in New York is “undeniably demolishing the Wallbanger” , keep in mind that Hannity is being carried on over 20 stations in the state, which would certainly dilute the individual station ratings. WABC is one of only three stations in the state out of the only 11 that carry the lunatic in the drive time slot of 3 PM – 5 PM. The rest air him in the 9:00 PM ozone slot…………..On virtually every station, Hannity is in the three hour slot of 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM……….
The claim that WABC is demolishing Hannity is bogus if you actually compare the listening audience of all the stations available within the New York radius………

Of course Hannity is a Republican hack. This is news? He is also a Cliffs Notes Conservative, having no more than a superficial understanding of the issues. He seems like a nice guy, but his radio show is impossible to listen to...mind-numbingly dumb and useless. Savage is endlessly entertaining and brilliant. So, by the way, is his nemesis Mark Levin. Those two, plus John Batchelor, are the only ones on the dial worth listening to.
No fan of Hannity, he’s dull, repetitive, and suck up to Rove. But Savage can make some of the most idiotic statements with complete confidence that he’s absolutely right.
Fortunately, Phil Valentine in on another station in the same time slot, and he seems a decent host.

That said, I knew when Hannity sliced and diced Savage a couple of months ago, calling him a depressed, jealous, angry, liberal loser, that the sting would be deep and long-lasting. Looks like I was right, LOL.

Listened to Savage a few times, goes on about himself way too much, and does not treat his callers well.
Truth be told, I have not listened much to anyone since the 2012 election disaster.
Rush, Hannity, Savage, Levin—for all of their talk, it seems like the country just keeps drifting away to the left.They have made zero impact in the last fifteen years, except to be examples to be demonized by the left, and us by extension, being conservatives.
In fact,in the last fifteen years, I would argue that FreeRepublic has had more impact on the political scene than any of these talking heads. To wit, the impeachment of Bill Clinton started with FR’s March for Justice in October, 1998 and saving George Bush in 2000 in Florida with not allowing the count to be done in secret and the Sore Loserman label, saving George Bush in 2004, through exposing the CBS bogus Dan Rather letter and the support of the Swiftboat Vets.
These microphone jockeys have made their fortunes,sell their books and wares, but yield no lasting impact on the society.
We have run out of time to jawbone ad infinitum about things.
There has to be action. the 2014 mid term is going to be a turning point in American history. If the Dems are not turned out of Congress and state offices in record numbers, this nation is doomed.

I have no idea if Savage is right or wrong, but he’s so very unpleasant that the moment his show comes on, at 3:07 pm, I switch away from WMAL and find something else to listen to.
