Ted Cruz ended Perry and Dewhurst’s careers.
If a Governor wants to run it will have be Scott Walker who is better than their respective local congressional wimps Johnson and Ryan.
How is Perry going to run without Cruz’s blessing? Is Cruz going to side with Perry over Rand because Rand is less interventionist?

In a Republican primary, everyone claims to be conservative and voters are pretty cynical. ....
For me one of the best barometers is the candidates voting record, specially if the candidate is an incumbent. I look at their voting record for the period leading up to within about 6 months of their next upcoming election. Right after getting (re-)elected is the best time for me to pay attention to what they say and do and how they vote, that's when they show their true colors.
They count on voters having short memories and are gullible in the last 6 months before the next election. Count on it.
